Today I'm introducing a place that's perfect for when you want tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and a drink too!

Tteokbokki, chicken and beer is a combo that's delicious anytime, right? I wanted both, so I went to the main branch near my friend's place!

What is the atmosphere like?

The interior has a really old-school beer hall feel! It's cozy and gives off log-cabin vibes, which I loved.. A log cabin in the middle of the city, basically 💦

How varied is the menu, and what did I order?

The menu has everything from tteokbokki and chicken to lots of side dishes and drinks. There were more options than I expected, so I got totally indecisive for a moment haha 😂 I wanted this, I was curious about that, and after agonizing for a while I finally ordered the half-and-half tteokbokki I'd been curious about, with sliced beef brisket and cheese added!

So not plain tteokbokki, but half-and-half tteokbokki with beef brisket and cheese on top! I also ordered ppong beer and ppong whisky, which had funny names that caught my eye, so I got to enjoy a nice variety - 🍻

How was the half-and-half tteokbokki with beef brisket and cheese?

I tried the half-and-half tteokbokki first, with beef brisket and cheese added! Tteokbokki is tasty even plain, but the charm is that adding toppings makes it richer 🐰 With the beef brisket you get meat too, and cheese is a great match for tteokbokki, so I was extra excited 🧀

Do ppong beer and ppong whisky go well with tteokbokki?

With the tteokbokki, I ordered the ppong beer and ppong whisky, which have unique names. Since I ordered tteokbokki, I had to get drinks too, right? haha People often think of soda with tteokbokki, but this day I had it with beer for a slightly different combo 🙂↕️ Spicy tteokbokki with cold beer lets you enjoy a meal and a drinking session at the same time, which I think is the great part!
