PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch is a newly opened roastery café in an alley of Mangwon Market. I thought PICT Roastery only existed in Magok, but it has opened in Mangwon Market too!

It was a brand-new café, still in its soft-opening period, and it's running a huge event too!!! (I'll write about it below :)

How to get to PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch

PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch sits right in the middle alley of Mangwon Market.

It's on the ground floor of a building you could easily walk past. I saw the big soft-opening banner and thought, oh, this is a café! Without it I probably would have just passed right by,,,,,

Atmosphere and seating at PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch

The inside of PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch was quiet and comfortable.

They sell single-origin and blend coffees roasted in-house every week, but since it's the soft opening, the menu didn't feel very varied yet~ Sunlight came in nicely and the space was very pleasant.

There were about 7 tables for two, and the wood-tone interior felt cozy, so I think it would be fine to visit alone on a solo café tour.

There's also a restroom inside, which is convenient :)

Menu and beans at PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch

PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch had two kinds of beans ready, set up so you can smell them.

I went on a weekend afternoon, and the matcha Basque cheesecake was already sold out!

There were two desserts, French toast and pistachio tiramisu, and both looked so delicious..!!

I ordered the black latte (a first for me), a latte, and the pistachio tiramisu.

The menu was short, and it felt like they focus only on the tasty things.

How does the pistachio tiramisu taste?

The drinks came in cute mugs, along with the handmade pistachio tiramisu :)

I'd only ever had the standard coffee-based chocolate tiramisu, so this pistachio cream base was my first, and the rich, distinctive pistachio flavor really came through.

The pistachio taste was nutty yet smooth, and very good. The sponge was moistly soaked all the way between the layers~

It's a dessert that should pair well with the basic coffee menu. >_<

What do the black latte and latte taste like?

If you like nutty, toasty coffee, I think you'd really enjoy the black latte at PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch!

It's amazing that the color is actually black, haha. It has macadamia and hazelnut notes together, so it tastes luxurious, very nutty and deep!

It's moderately sweet, so it's a different experience from the vanilla latte I drink every time, nutty yet sweet.

The regular latte also had a bittersweet cocoa nuance with a smooth, weighty body :) It went really well with the sweet pistachio spread tiramisu~ Next time I'd like to try a clean Americano too.
