Why is there a line at Angry Potato in Hyundai Jungdong near Bucheon City Hall Station?

Every time I go to Hyundai Department Store Jungdong, near Bucheon City Hall Station, there's a line at this snack counter. At first I thought, is it just a fries place? But the smell every time I walked past was no joke, haha, so I got in line and took some home.

I thought fries were the main thing, but the menu is much more varied than I expected, from chicken to mini burgers to chewy potatoes haha. And after trying it... I get why people keep buying ♥️ I think everything would be amazing with a glass of beer, so if you're looking for beer snacks, I sincerely recommend this place haha.

Angry Potato Jungdong: location, hours and parking

The opening hours are the same as Hyundai Department Store's, and for parking you can use the department store car park.

The yellow sign is easy to spot from far away! "THE REAL POTATO" is written in big letters, so your eyes go to it naturally as you walk by.

The kitchen is open, so you can watch them fry the potatoes and make the chicken, which kept the wait from getting boring haha. And the smell of fresh frying... is honestly cheating, hahaha. People passing by catch the smell and stop to look at the menu.

Right next to the register, potato chips were piled up and they looked so good 🥔 The moment I saw them I thought, "Beer snack. Take it to the ballpark. A snack for watching movies at home." Total foodie, yum yum

How does the Hot Crunch chicken taste?

The Hot Crunch chicken was the first thing I reached for 🍗 It looked exactly like "crispy outside, juicy inside." The coating is very crunchy and not thick, so it didn't feel heavy haha.

From the first bite it was juicy and the meat was really moist. Crispy outside, tender inside, the kind you keep reaching for! The moderately spicy seasoning meant it wasn't greasy at all. The quality rivals a chicken specialist, so I was really satisfied!!! (Honestly, I'm eating it with one hand even while writing this post,, so addictive and delicious)

How were the 3 mini burgers?

I tried the mini burgers in three kinds: chicken, shrimp and beef. Aren't they adorable? hahaha They're bite-sized, easy to eat without feeling heavy, and I liked being able to taste each kind!

Each one has its own charm, so picking between them was fun haha. The buns are moist and the patties are more substantial than I expected, so don't underestimate them just because they're small ‼️ They'd be great as a kids' snack and also seem fine as a beer snack for adults!

What's the texture of the signature chewy potato?

The chewy potato (jjonduk gamja) is the signature item at Angry Potato near Bucheon City Hall Station 🥔 Slightly crisp outside, and just as the name says, chewy inside! It was my first time trying it and it was really fascinating.

It has a bit of a potato-rice-cake texture, and the nutty potato flavor comes through, so you keep eating. If you want something different from ordinary fries, please give it a try!! Totally recommended for anyone who likes chewy, springy textures ♥️

I love sauces, so I mixed the chipotle sauce and a few others from the free refill sauces hehe. The result was totally satisfying ~~ ♥️

My favorite sauce combo is chipotle sauce + sriracha mayo. Mix and drizzle whatever sauces you like and it's so good T_T

It was so delicious while eating that I wanted to treat my cousin, so I bought one more of the same chipotle pulled pork ★ I gave it to her with different sauces mixed in haha
