Why Cheesewave before the trumpet creeper flowers at Bucheon Central Park?

I heard the trumpet creeper flowers (neungsohwa) were blooming beautifully at Bucheon Central Park, so I went to see them. As the saying goes, even Mt. Geumgang is better after a meal, so we decided to eat nearby first and look around the park afterward. While searching for good places around there, I suddenly craved pizza, and that's how I ended up at Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall.

Cheesewave is a pizza franchise that started at UPP in Itaewon. They say it's a place where you can enjoy the perfect combination of chewy butter dough that has been aged for 48 hours.

Where is Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall, and where to park?

Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall is near Bucheon City Hall Station and Bucheon Central Park, so it's easy to get to. However, the building has no dedicated parking lot, so you can't park there. If you're driving, use the nearby Bucheon City Hall underground car park. Before 8 PM they support the parking fee down to ₩1,000, and after 8 PM parking is free.

Atmosphere and outdoor tables at Cheesewave

The shop has a clean, stylish feel with its mix of white and red. The bold red accents make it stand out even from far away.

There are also tables outside the shop, so you can eat outdoors too.

I heard that after 8 PM they discount draft beer and soju for people ordering pizza, so these outdoor seats would be even better for that.

Inside, the floor-to-ceiling windows make it feel open, and the look is simple and clean with no fuss. Each table has sauces like cheese powder, ketchup and hot sauce so you can add whatever suits your taste.

The pizza menu at Cheesewave Bucheon City Hall includes combination, sweet potato, pepperoni, bacon potato, sun-dried shrimp and more, along with a variety of sides such as buffalo wings, chicken tenders, french fries, spaghetti and corn cheese.

You can order half-and-half pizzas, and there are also set menus that are good value.

For each review you write, they also offer a cheese crust, garlic butter fries or tomato meat spaghetti.

You order by scanning the QR code attached to each table. We ordered the ₩31,900 set menu (sweet potato / bacon potato half-and-half pizza, french fries, cola).

What's at the Cheesewave self bar?

There's a separate self bar on one side of the shop. Water, pickles, small plates, forks, knives, aprons and other basics are neatly set out, so just help yourself if you need anything.

The drinks came out first. They thoughtfully brought two cups of ice, which I appreciated.

How does the sweet potato and bacon potato half-and-half pizza taste?

Soon after, the sweet potato / bacon potato half-and-half pizza we ordered was ready.

I would have hated to pick just one flavor, so I was really glad we could order half-and-half.

Sweet potato pizza: sweet potato mousse and chewy dough

The sweet potato pizza is a sweet pizza piled with sweet potato mousse.

The dough was chewy yet soft, and the savory cheese blends with the sweetness, so it's a flavor anyone, young or old, can enjoy without any burden.

True to the Cheesewave name, cheese is sprinkled all the way to the edge of the dough, so you taste cheese wherever you bite.

Bacon potato pizza: potato, bacon and garlic dipping sauce

The bacon potato pizza is a best-seller, with a brilliant combination of freshly fried potato, bacon and garlic dipping sauce.

The salty bacon and fluffy potato went together well, and it was more than good enough as a filling meal.

When I sprinkled on plenty of the extra cheese powder provided, the cheese flavor got even richer, and the nuttiness doubled, so the pizza tasted deeper.

Pairing the sweet potato pizza and the bacon potato pizza, each with its own charm, gave a sweet-and-salty appeal beyond my expectations. If we had picked only one flavor, we'd have gotten a bit sick of it halfway through, so choosing both was an excellent decision.

They were fried thin and crispy with a nice crunch, which kept me reaching for more.

Is the set too much for two? Boxing up leftover pizza

The Cheesewave half-and-half pizza set was large and generous for two people. When I was about to pack it into a paper bag from the self bar, a staff member came over without my even asking and kindly boxed it up for us. Thanks to that, I took it home neatly packed and enjoyed it again at home.

We only dropped by on the way to see the trumpet creeper flowers, but it was a satisfying meal, with delicious pizza in a pleasant atmosphere. Next time, I'd like to go in the evening, sit at an outdoor table, and relax over pizza and beer.
