Brunch restaurant in Yangsan: pumpkin pastry soup surprise, Bueokgan
In short
Bueokgan Restaurant Yangsan Oslo Park Branch is a new Western restaurant on the B1 level of Oslo Park in Mulgeum, Yangsan, opened by the well-known Bueokgan Restaurant from Haeundae. The blogger ordered the pastry soup, basil pesto cream pasta and truffle mushroom gnocchi by tablet, and the pastry soup, expected to be mushroom, turned out to be a sweet, rich pumpkin soup. With its museum-like interior and truffle aroma, Bueokgan Restaurant is well worth it for a date or a family meal out.

I heard that Bueokgan Restaurant (부엌간레스토랑), famous in Haeundae, had just opened a new branch at Oslo Park in Yangsan, so I went to check it out. The atmosphere, the looks and the taste were all great, with nothing missing, so I'd recommend it for a date or for families.

Where is Bueokgan Yangsan Oslo Park, and how is the parking?
Bueokgan Restaurant Yangsan Oslo Park Branch is on the first basement level of Oslo Park, and if you park on B2 you get a generous 2 hours. If you come by car, park on B2, take the escalator up, and it's right on your left.

If you come on foot, take the escalator down from the first floor and head left to the place with the sign that says BUUK. With 2 hours of parking, you can eat in peace.
Interior and atmosphere of Bueokgan Oslo Park
Step inside and it feels less like a restaurant and more like a museum or a wedding hall, the interior is that elegant. The space is said to be designed with inspiration from the National Museum of Fine Arts in Sweden.

It has high ceilings and soft arched curves, and the vintage furniture and plants blend together for an exotic feel. Round tables are placed around the room in a bold, imposing way.

The vintage furniture and various objects are said to be hand-picked in Europe, in places like England, France and Italy, and they give the space depth and a classic mood.

What did we order at Bueokgan?
Once you sit down, the staff set the table with cutlery, and you order by tablet. I ordered three dishes: the pastry soup, basil pesto cream pasta and truffle mushroom gnocchi.

Even the table setting is classy, wow,,
The food came out almost all at once, and the looks, wow,, the presentation was top-notch, and maybe because of the truffle, the aroma alone was amazing.

On the pastry soup, the golden, puffed-up pastry over the bowl stole the show, and it looked a bit like the soup from The Party. The basil pesto cream pasta smelled fragrantly of basil, and the thick-looking sauce looked so tempting. The truffle mushroom gnocchi was a different shape from ordinary gnocchi, which was fun, and the truffle aroma was truly the best.

Is the pastry soup a mushroom soup?
Bueokgan's pastry soup was not a mushroom soup but a pumpkin soup. You break through the pastry and eat it together with the soup, and I was sure it would be mushroom soup, so I was surprised that it was pumpkin.
The sweet yet rich pumpkin soup was really delicious, and eaten with the crispy pastry it was so good.

Basil pesto cream pasta with poached egg
For Bueokgan's basil pesto cream pasta, you break the poached egg on top and toss it well with the arugula and cream. The basil fragrance fills your mouth, which was lovely, and it goes perfectly with the thick cream sauce.
Cream pasta really has to be thick to be good,, the best!!

What is the texture of the truffle mushroom gnocchi?
Bueokgan's truffle mushroom gnocchi is potato gnocchi that is crisp outside and chewy like rice cake inside. It's made with the textures of various mushrooms, the flavor of truffle and plenty of cheese, and the savory depth of the mushrooms and the truffle aroma take the sense of luxury to the max.
Who is Bueokgan Yangsan Oslo Park good for?
This newly opened Bueokgan in Yangsan won me over with its interior, taste and looks all at once, so I'd recommend it for a date or a family meal.
