Jack mackerel sashimi platter for a family gathering: Ttangkkeut Maeul
Ttangkkeut Maeul is a takeout sashimi restaurant at stalls 42-43 on the first floor of Noryangjin Fisheries Market in Dongjak, Seoul, right in front of Gate Nam-1. Ahead of a family gathering, a medium-size jack mackerel assorted sashimi platter (₩90,000) was phone-reserved and packed with spicy fish stew ingredients, chilled in an insulated bag that kept the sashimi chewy through dinner. With flounder, mullet and sea bream mixed in alongside the mackerel, the variety never got boring — a satisfying, good-value platter for a family gathering.
