Icheon beef restaurant for family meal with elderly parents: Jowatso

Jowatso is a charcoal-grilled beef restaurant in Janghowon, Icheon, Gyeonggi. A family of four ordered the signature sohanmari (one cow) platter, 850g for ₩89,000, grilling udaegalbi, bonkkotsal, galbisal, and buchaesal with rapeseed honey marinade, plus unlimited refills of beef hangover soup. The meat was tender enough for parents with weak teeth to enjoy easily, and the trick was keeping the mild charcoal fire loaded with plenty of meat.

Icheon bakery café with lemon pound cake and salt bread: Cafe Arc

Cafe Arc is a bakery-brunch café on Cheongbaekri-ro in Baeksa-myeon, Icheon, Gyeonggi. Stopping by on the way home from a family trip, the writer tried the lemon pound cake, ganbutter salt bread, and drinks like peach smoothie, lemonade, tomato juice, and americano, and found the bread quality better than most dedicated bakeries. The spacious second floor with group seating made it easy to talk, and the writer wants to come back to try the brunch menu next time.
