For dinner on our family trip to Jeonju, we headed to Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Jeonju Seosin Branch (한마음정육식당 전주서신점) on Ongoeul-ro in Wansan-gu. We had finally made time for this trip and I was so excited, but we'd walked all over the huge sightseeing areas, and my legs were tingling with tiredness haha

Looking at my family's droopy faces, I was sure this was the moment for a hearty meat meal to refuel.

So after some thorough digging around, we made our way to a Jeonju beef specialist said to have excellent meat. That place was Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Jeonju Seosin Branch.

Is parking easy at Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Jeonju Seosin Branch?

You park in the building's own parking tower and head down to the restaurant. What I liked most was the spacious, pleasant parking area!! The sign said 2 hours of parking, but they gave us a ticket good for 3 hours. Top-notch service!!

A kids' play room for families with children

At the entrance there's a kids' play room with a trampoline and a slide. It caught my eye, so I went to take a peek haha. It was a prettily decorated, eco-friendly play area with a tiled-roof look, and sturdy safety netting was carefully set up all around so kids can play safely. With a trampoline and slide packed inside, I thought parents with little ones could enjoy their meal in peace.

Sadly, our kids are already big elementary schoolers, so we couldn't even step into that cute kids' zone lol. The notice has strict age and height limits, so our tall kids just had to focus on grilling and eating meat at the table ㅠㅠ Still, for readers with young children, I figured info on a meat restaurant with a play space would be a real lifesaver, so I took plenty of photos for you to check before visiting.

There was none of that stale grease smell or smoke that grilled meat usually leaves; the air felt fresh, and it earned a pass from the first impression haha

The whole-cow set: how did it taste?

At Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Jeonju Seosin Branch, our family read the menu carefully and then ordered the whole cow (so hanmari) set without a second thought.

I liked that the whole cow set lets you taste a variety of cuts, and seeing the bright red meat laid out on the table with fine white marbling, my mouth was watering before we even started grilling lol

The moment the meat hit the grill, a rich savory aroma hit my nose, and the smell alone felt like it took away half my tiredness from all that walking ㅠㅠ

When I put a well-cooked piece of lean beef in my mouth, tender juices filled my whole mouth and it melted away with nothing tough about it.

Even with just a light dip in salt, the meat's own savory flavor came through strongly, and I couldn't stop wolfing it down haha

When it comes to recovering from fatigue, there really is no better answer than beef protein.

Jjolmyeon scallion salad, doenjang-jjigae and bomb steamed egg

The jjolmyeon (chewy wheat noodle) scallion salad and doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew) that came with the whole cow set were real highlights too.

And the bomb steamed egg (polltan gyeran-jjim), a must with any meat meal~~ It was so wobbly and delicious!

Is Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Jeonju Seosin Branch worth a return visit?

After refilling our drained energy with the juicy beef here, we wrapped up the rest of our Jeonju trip feeling really fueled up. Meat wins again!!!
