Apgujeong family brunch restaurant, kids' katsu sando: Eulji Darak
In short
Eulji Darak Apgujeong Dosan Park is a brunch and pasta restaurant on the 2nd floor, about a 5-minute walk from Apgujeongnodeo Station in Gangnam, Seoul. Arriving with the kids at the 11:30 weekend opening, we finished four dishes: Darak omurice (omelet over fried rice), spicy crab risotto, flat carbonara and katsu sando (pork cutlet sandwich). The kids ate every bite of the katsu sando themselves, so if you bring children to Eulji Darak Dosan, order the katsu sando and the flat carbonara.

Why we picked Eulji Darak Apgujeong Dosan Park for a weekend kids' brunch
Eulji Darak Apgujeong Dosan Park (을지다락 압구정도산공원점) is a brunch favorite in Apgujeong Rodeo, on the 2nd floor at 25 Eonju-ro 168-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. We were out in Apgujeong Rodeo for a weekend outing with the kids and wanted brunch with them, so we headed here.
It is open 11:30 to 21:15, with a break time from 15:15 to 16:30.

Weekend wait at Eulji Darak Dosan: is opening time okay?
We went at the weekend opening time of 11:30 and got in without any wait. After us, lots of people came in for brunch and the seats filled up completely. The food is good and the mood is nice, so I think many people come to it as their Apgujeongnodeo Station brunch spot.

Parking and finding the entrance
The restaurant is 5 minutes from Apgujeongnodeo Station and has no parking of its own. You can use a nearby private lot, but it is expensive, so public transport is the better choice.
Lots of people get confused about where the entrance is. The green door is a decoy, and many think it's the way in. I tried to open it at first, it wouldn't budge, and I went up one more floor, haha. The real entrance is a bookshelf: just push it and walk in. Getting a laugh right at the door put us in a good mood for brunch.

Atmosphere and tableware at Eulji Darak Dosan
The interior is bright and calm in white and gray tones. True to an Apgujeong Rodeo brunch spot, there are plenty of pretty lights, and I thought the atmosphere was a highlight.

The plates and bowls set on the table were pretty too. For brunch, I think pretty tableware makes the food look better and is great for photos.

The four dishes we ordered with the kids
We came to Eulji Darak Dosan with the kids and ordered four dishes: the signature Darak omurice (omelet rice), spicy crab risotto, katsu sando (breaded cutlet sandwich) and flat carbonara pasta.
Darak omurice: a mild signature dish the kids ate happily
The Darak omurice has a soft omelet that melts in your mouth, and I order it every time I come. It isn't spicy, so the kids ate it happily, and the sweet-and-sour special Darak omurice sauce goes with it well. It's one of the dishes you have to eat here.

Spicy crab risotto: my new favorite on first try
I ordered the spicy crab risotto for the first time this visit, and personally it's my favorite of everything I've tried at Eulji Darak, so I want to recommend it.

It has the creamy, thick texture I love, but the spiciness keeps it from feeling heavy, so I kept saying how good it was the whole way through. I was completely satisfied.
Mixing in the egg yolk added a nutty flavor and made it taste even more upscale. The crab isn't imitation crab stick either; there's whole crab meat in it, which made it even better.

Flat carbonara: the kids cleaned the plate, sauce and all
The carbonara here uses flat noodles that are easy to eat in one bite, which is just right for eating with kids. The kids like it, so we ordered it too.

It was thick and nutty, and of course a huge hit with the kids. There was generous bacon in it, which made it even more savory and tasty. The kids scraped the plate clean, sauce included.

Katsu sando: the signature dish the kids hogged
The katsu sando was the kids' favorite. I figured they'd like it, but they said it was delicious the moment they tasted it and ate the whole thing themselves without giving us any, hahaha. Even now they're asking me to make a pork cutlet sandwich at home... I'd love to make one if only I could, kids... haha

It's a simple dish: juicy pork cutlet tucked into soft white bread like a sandwich. It looks plain, but it's really good enough to be one of Eulji Darak's signature menu items, haha. We'd had it before, so we gave it all up to the kids and didn't get a single bite this time. But if you're visiting with kids, I strongly recommend ordering it.
Is Eulji Darak Apgujeong Dosan Park okay with kids?
All four dishes we ordered at Eulji Darak Apgujeong Dosan Park were delicious, so we finished everything, and the whole family was satisfied with this Apgujeong Rodeo brunch.
