How did I remove summer makeup from oily skin?

In summer, foundation, powder, and afternoon touch-ups made me pay more attention to cleansing. I used cleansing oil for a long time, but it seemed to cause breakouts on my skin, so I have used cleansing balms for the past few years.

This time, I used HEEDA’s cleansing balm and foam cleanser duo. I had run out of both products, so it was a convenient set to use together.

What were the cleansing balm’s texture and feel like?

The packaging was white, but the cleansing balm itself was black. I was used to translucent cleansing balms, so it felt unfamiliar at first, but it turned clear like an oil when I scooped it out and melted it in my hands.

The spatula could be attached to the lid, which was convenient. When removing my makeup after work, I massaged the balm over my face, paying particular attention to my nose, forehead, area below my lips, and chin.

I added a little water from time to time to emulsify it until it turned white, then rinsed with lukewarm water. I was especially thorough with this step on days when I was concerned about sebum and blackheads around my nose.

How did the foam cleanser feel after rinsing?

The foam cleanser also had a black formula. Without using a foaming tool, I worked it into a sufficient lather in my hands, then washed gently with a light touch as if massaging my face.

I do not usually like a slippery finish after washing, and this product left the squeaky-clean feel I prefer. Right after cleansing, my skin felt clean without any oiliness.

Who might it suit?

If you have oily skin and want to use a cleansing balm followed by a foam cleanser after summer makeup, this may be useful to consider. I was satisfied because I prefer a squeaky-clean finish, but finish preferences can vary from person to person.
