A great brunch café near Konkuk Univ.: "Stack Bakery Konkuk University Station Main Branch"
On the day of my checkup at Konkuk University Hospital, my husband and I went to the hospital early, then searched for a good brunch date spot. That's how we found Stack Bakery ☕ From the delicious croissants and coffee to the sunny, relaxed mood, it was just perfect. Here's my review of Stack Bakery!
Stack Bakery Konkuk University Station Main Branch: hours and location
Stack Bakery Konkuk University Station Main Branch is closed every Wednesday. On other days it's open from 08:00 to 21:00, and dine-in runs until 20:30.
It opens at 8 in the morning, and it's open on weekends too, so I highly recommend it if you want that weekend-morning brunch vibe!
Stack Bakery sits roughly between Konkuk Univ. Station and Jayang Station. Depending on your route, it's a short walk from either station, so I think it would also work as part of a Ttukseom Park date course.

There are outdoor terrace tables too, so having a coffee out there when it's a bit warmer would make me sooo happy, hehe.

How do the 1st and 2nd floors work at Stack Bakery?
You order bread and drinks on the 1st floor and eat in the café space on the 2nd floor. Walk in and all kinds of baked goods welcome you, hehe.

We could even watch croissants being made in the shop, and if you keep walking in and go up to the 2nd floor, there are seats full of sunlight. The 2nd floor has big windows, so the natural light was really lovely.

Is Stack Bakery a good café for laptop work near Konkuk Univ. Station?
There are outlets here and there on the 2nd floor, so it's a great Konkuk Univ. café for a quick charge or some laptop work 👍

The 2nd floor is thoughtfully set up with a self-service bar, blankets and bag hooks, and there's a restroom too, so it was really easy to spend time here.
Stack Bakery menu: croissants and coffee

Stack Bakery had a really wide range of French-style pastries, croissants included. They say everything is made in the shop every day, from dough at dawn to baking, which means if you visit in the morning you can taste bread fresh out of the oven... *_*

They use beans blended by a roaster with 15 years of experience, so the coffee is good here too, heh heh.
What we ordered for brunch after a Konkuk University Hospital checkup
We ordered two kinds of croissants that could work as breakfast, plus a coffee and an ade. That's three items in total, plus the extra charge for switching to a latte.
- Sandwich croissant coffee set: ₩11,500 (+₩1,000 to switch to café latte)
- Egg potato croissant: ₩8,500
- Zero peach ade: ₩5,500

Croissants and drinks that make you happy just looking at them: a dreamy brunch combo ✨✨
They'd opened the windows in the morning to let in fresh air, and the breeze and birdsong made the scene so nice. A relaxed, easygoing mood, the smell of nutty bread and coffee... this is happiness, I tell you!

How Stack Bakery's zero peach ade and hot café latte taste
This was the zero peach ade my husband ordered. You just stir it well with the stick it comes with. It's zero, so how is it this sweet?! Hahaha. The peach flavor was subtle and it was perfect for a cool, refreshing drink, haha.
And the hot latte I ordered was a perfect match for the chilly weather. It was nutty, with fluffy steamed milk on top, and sipping it with the bread was so good ☕

How the sandwich croissant and egg potato croissant taste
The sandwich croissant and the egg potato croissant! They look amazing already.

I tried the sandwich croissant first. It has vegetables, ham and cheese, and the fresh flavor was excellent! The croissant itself is sooo crispy and nutty, and the bread alone is just delicious, T.T

Then the egg potato croissant, cut with a knife, slice slice.

Cut in half, it was packed full, hehe. Salty white sauce and egg spread dotted with potato. This one was seriously good too!!!!!

It was so good that, rumor has it, I scraped up even the scattered croissant crumbs...

Would I go back to Stack Bakery?
On the way out I saw that Stack Bakery had won first place for best croissant in Seoul, and having tasted it, I could really feel that prestige! It's a Konkuk Univ. café gem with croissants among the best I've had in Seoul.
- Bread and coffee: the best
- Shop atmosphere: so good vibes
- Will I come back: totally
It was pure happiness! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a café near Geondae Station or Jayang Station, or a brunch spot for a date. Next time I'll come to read a book or work on my laptop and spend a leisurely while.
