Sangam shabu kalguksu 10 minutes before last order: Deungchon

Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu Sangam Branch is a minari shabu-shabu and kalguksu (knife-cut noodle) restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Woori Technology building near DMC in Mapo, Seoul. The writer left work at 8:20 pm and ran over just before the 8:30 pm last order for spicy kalguksu (₩11,000) with an extra 180g of beef (₩11,000). The writer saved some of the shabu-shabu ingredients, cooked the noodles with mashed potato, then finished with fried rice. If lunch is too crowded, Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu Sangam Branch makes a relaxed dinner stop in Sangam-dong.

Mangwon nacho bar: pepperoni pizza nachos with cilantro, Macho Nacho

Macho Nacho is a bar serving nachos and draft beer in front of Mangwon Hangang Park in Mapo, Seoul. On a third visit, a Mangwon local ordered Macho Nacho's priciest item, the Pepperoni Pizza Nacho, with extra cilantro to go and ate it at home with soju and somaek (soju mixed with beer). Even under the sauce, the Pepperoni Pizza Nacho stayed crunchy to the last chip and made an easy beer snack for a second round.
