What is Daecheon Brewery in Boryeong?

Daecheon Brewery Craft Beer Brewery & Pizza Pub is where you can taste Boryeong's first local craft beer, and word is it's a must-stop on a Daecheon Beach trip. Boryeong in Chungnam is full of summer romance, and Daecheon Beach draws travelers all year round~~

When I visit Germany Village in Namhae, I always bring back German beer as a souvenir, so hearing that in Boryeong I could bring back our own beer, I thought, Daecheon Brewery is a must on a Daecheon itinerary! And off I went.

Even the exterior has a refreshing look that makes the beer taste better.

How far is it from Daecheon Beach, and what's the atmosphere?

Daecheon Brewery is about a 5-minute drive from Daecheon Beach, a unique space that combines the brewery where the beer is made with a pub where you can drink it right away. I went in the evening, so I couldn't see any brewing work, but half the shop is the brewery, so you can see the equipment through the glass.

Step inside and you see stylish industrial interiors with huge brewing tanks, and you really feel it's a craft beer mecca. The atmosphere alone doubled the excitement of our Daecheon trip!!

It's only 5 minutes from the beach, but you have to turn into an alley so it's hard to spot. Still, there were already lots of families, and I wondered how they all found this place. So curious!

What are the signature beers and pizza?

Signature beers include the 'Boryeong Mud Lager', themed on mud, the symbol of Boryeong, the 'Daecheon Golden Ale' with a fresh fruity aroma, the full-bodied 'Wonsando IPA', and even the 'Ocheon Porter', said to have won a silver medal at an international beer competition!! I'd decided which beers to get before visiting, so the Ocheon Porter jumped right out at me.

The biggest draw of Daecheon Brewery is that it's the perfect place for pizza and beer. Freshly baked oven pizza with fresh craft beer is simply superb. Craft beer with salty pepperoni pizza or savory gorgonzola pizza is such a good match that it wipes out travel fatigue in one go.

So to eat at our lodging, I ordered one gorgonzola pizza and a 6-bottle gift set (Premium B) filled with the beers I wanted.

How is the Boryeong beer gift set put together?

The bottled beer gift set at Daecheon Brewery is 6 bottles made up of 4 signature beers that carry Boryeong's local character, and you can even fill it with only the beers you want! Ahh~ that's why it's famous as a place craft beer lovers must buy a gift set from.

The package design is cute and stylish too, so it's perfect as a travel souvenir or a gift for friends.

It's been on TV and celebrities have visited, so the walls of Daecheon Brewery are covered with famous people's autographs.

I picked the bottles one by one, looking forward to the taste.

How long does takeout take?

Packing up the gorgonzola pizza and beer took about 15 minutes, I think. We planned to drink safely? back at the lodging.

With a car, sob, we can't drink, and non-alcoholic wasn't tempting, so we got takeout. But the atmosphere inside Daecheon Brewery was so nice that I was sad we couldn't eat in.

Daecheon Brewery isn't just a place to fill your stomach; it's a special place to experience Boryeong's local culture through beer. Spending a relaxed afternoon with family, friends or a partner, or ending the day with a cold beer at sunset, I can't think of a better place.

How was the takeout gorgonzola pizza?

The gorgonzola pizza at Daecheon Brewery has an art-level saltiness, so it's a pizza you absolutely MUST eat with beer, haha. Afraid it would go cold, I quickly tried a slice in the car,

and wow, made by a pizza-and-beer place, it really is a perfect match with beer!!! Whoever made this pizza recipe, and whoever taught them! You can enjoy it so deliciously with beer. Boryeong Daecheon!! The best!!

How was the Boryeong Mud Lager at the lodging?

The moment we got to the lodging, the Daecheon Brewery beer went into the freezer,

and I drank it ice-cold, straight from the bottle. The Boryeong Mud Lager is the real deal! I don't often drink ales anyway, but the Mud Lager's really smooth finish was the best! It's a must-pick next time too (ten thousand hearts).

I'm saving the Boryeong Rice Beer and Ocheon Porter, haha. I brought them home and am keeping them. I'm planning to open them on a good day and post an update.

Would I recommend it for a Daecheon Beach trip?

Honestly, I recommend Daecheon Brewery as the best place to eat around Daecheon Beach. Stop going to grilled clam places and go for craft beer. Boryeong beer, Daecheon beer, a must-buy souvenir! I'm happy to have found a good place and happy to recommend it!!!
