IFC Mall B2 snack spot next to the GS25 in Yeouido: Hyeonseonine
In short
Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is a Korean snack restaurant (bunsik) on basement level 2 of IFC Mall in Yeouido, Seoul, next to the GS25 convenience store and connected to Yeouido Station. The 23,000-won Hyeonseoni Set comes with tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), sundae (blood sausage), fritters and mini gimbap (seaweed rice rolls); the sundae had no gamey smell and the tteokbokki tasted exactly as it always has. Avoid the lunch peak at Hyeonseonine Premium and you can sit down with no wait or have everything neatly packed to go.

When I'm craving tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) in Yeouido, Hyeonseonine is always the first place that comes to mind.

You can get tteokbokki, sundae (Korean blood sausage), fritters, and mini gimbap (seaweed rice roll) all at once, and the portion feels solid for the price, so it works well as an office worker's lunch too. Best of all, it's inside IFC Mall, so it's easy to get to whether you're eating alone or just want a quick snack meal.
This time I went back to my favorite Hyeonseonine and tried the Hyeonseoni Set.

I got lucky and walked right in with almost no wait, but this place is usually crowded, so if you're looking for Yeouido IFC restaurants, hopefully my visit helps!
Where is Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch, and where do you park?
Hyeonseonine Premium IFC Mall Branch is at 10 Gukjegeumyung-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, on basement level 2 of IFC Mall. You can park in the IFC Mall parking lot, and hours are Mon–Fri 11:00–21:00, Sat–Sun 12:00–21:00.
Coming out of Exit 3 of Yeouido Station, you can take the moving walkway toward IFC Mall. The restaurant is on B2, right next to the GS25 convenience store, so it wasn't hard to find even on my first visit. If you're looking for Yeouido IFC restaurants with an easy walk from the station, the location is definitely a plus.
It's close to Yeouido Station, so it's convenient for office workers to visit at lunchtime, and it's also an easy stop before or after shopping or watching a movie at IFC Mall.
Inside the restaurant: open kitchen and induction tables

For a snack restaurant, Hyeonseonine's IFC branch was surprisingly clean inside.

Even while I was there and the place was busy, it still felt organized overall, and since it's an open kitchen, you can watch the food being prepared.

Probably because they also serve jeuktteok (freshly boiled tteokbokki), the tables have induction stovetops built in, so you can eat everything warm. The sets are well put together, so it's also a good spot to order as a group.

So it's a great fit not just for office workers looking for Yeouido snack restaurants, but takeout is also neatly packed, so I got mine to go~
What's in the 23,000-won Hyeonseoni Set, and what do single dishes cost?
What I ordered that day was the Hyeonseoni Set.

It's made up of tteokbokki, sundae, fritters, and mini gimbap, priced at ₩23,000. It's a much more convenient combo than ordering everything separately, especially if you're visiting with a group and want to try a variety of snack foods at once.

It might be too much for one person, so it's worth ordering based on your group size, and if you want something simpler, you could just get tteokbokki alone for ₩6,000, or 5 pieces of assorted fritters for ₩6,000.

The jeuktteok (freshly boiled tteokbokki) is also available uncooked to take home, so if you'd rather eat it at home, you can get it as a takeout item. Considering how expensive eating out has gotten these days, being able to enjoy tteokbokki, sundae, fritters, and gimbap all together felt like decent value to me.
How it tasted: sundae with no gamey smell, tteokbokki unchanged

Hyeonseonine's tteokbokki is a dish I've loved for a long time, so it naturally came to mind again once I was in Yeouido.

This time I ordered the Hyeonseoni Set, and the tteokbokki was, as expected, familiar and delicious.

I especially liked the sundae. I'm pretty sensitive to that gamey smell sundae can sometimes have, but the one I had this time was plump with no gamey smell at all, and the texture was good too.

Eating the rice cakes and fish cakes together, then adding in fritters, and even a rice ball in between — my hand just kept reaching back for more haha.

I thought Hyeonseonine was delicious the last time I ate here too, and I was glad the taste hasn't changed much this time either. The fact that it always tastes the same no matter when I visit is exactly why I keep coming back to Hyeonseonine!

On days when I'm craving snack food, this kind of set is perfect among Yeouido IFC restaurants. It's especially handy at lunchtime when you and your coworkers can't agree on one dish — you get to split several things instead.
How long is the lunch wait, and is takeout worth it?
Hyeonseonine's IFC branch is popular with office workers, so it can get crowded at lunchtime.

I got lucky that day and got seated with almost no wait — even when the place is busy, tables turn over quickly, so you don't end up waiting long to eat.
If you'd rather eat at a more relaxed pace, avoiding the lunch peak is one option. Since takeout is available, office workers short on time can also just pack it up and take it with them.
Based on my own visit, if you're looking for Yeouido tteokbokki restaurants that work both for solo dining and for eating with a group, Hyeonseonine fit the bill quite well.

I especially liked how accessible it is inside IFC Mall, and being able to eat tteokbokki, sundae, and fritters all in one sitting. If you're after a simple but filling meal among Yeouido IFC restaurants, I'd recommend Hyeonseonine.

If you've been looking for a Yeouido snack restaurant or a Yeouido tteokbokki restaurant, give the Hyeonseoni Set at Hyeonseonine's IFC branch a try.
