In short

A bowl of poke at Ola Poke near Samseong Station

Hiii! I zipped over to a poke spot near Samseong Station on Wednesday!! This is my Ola Poke review~

A weeknight solo-dining report ^0^

Weeknight evening scene at Ola Poke Samseong

Why I picked Ola Poke Samseong for a weeknight dinner

The slightly sad(?) reason I chose poke for Wednesday dinner... I got my Eight Constitution diagnosis back and I'm apparently a Geum-eum type (I'll write a detailed review of that ㅠ), meaning fish and salad are supposed to be good for me ㅜ

So before heading out on Wednesday I was wondering what to eat~~~ and it turned out there's an Ola Poke branch near Samseong Station!?!? haha

Anyway, I went on a weeknight evening, around 7pm, and there were only 2-3 tables — such a considerate place where solo dining felt totally fine ㅎ.ㅎ

Ordering at Ola Poke Samseong: kiosk, salmon poke, buckwheat noodles

There's a menu board up top, but you can just go straight to the kiosk, choose dine-in/takeout, then pick your menu! Since I was told fish is good for me ^^... and buckwheat noodles too ^^, I chose the salmon poke! With buckwheat noodles ㅋㅋㅋㅋ ㅠㅠ

Order done in a flash! The whole restaurant has an orange-toned interior that stirs up your appetite ^^ㅋㅋㅋ

You know that thing about blue being the color that kills your appetite the most~~~ I picked that up somewhere too ㅎ

What's in the self-service zone at Ola Poke Samseong?

Inside Ola Poke Samseong there's a self-service zone with lemon water, cutlery, and wet wipes — nice! I waited just under 10 minutes and my poke came out fast (self pickup, love that).

Anyway, I've been to a few poke chains before, but this was my first time at Ola Poke, so I was really excited about the taste~~~ yay

Salmon buckwheat noodle poke, ₩13,500, free rice-to-noodle swap

What I ordered was the salmon buckwheat noodle poke!

A bowl of salmon poke swapped to buckwheat noodles

It came to 13,500 won! The rice ↔ noodle swap was free~~! I also asked for a sauce recommendation! They suggested mayo sriracha for the salmon — so good~~~!

Pineapple served as a default topping

And do you see this??!?! Pineapple! I've never seen a poke place give pineapple as a default topping!!!! So happy about this!!!!!

(I'm the kind of woman who's serious about pineapple, I even like Hawaiian pizza, haha)

Salmon poke doused in mayo sriracha sauce

Pouring on the mayo sriracha sauce with full force!!! haha, looks delicious right!!!!!! There were toppings you could exclude when ordering too? But since I eat pretty much everything, I threw it all in!

A piece of salmon dipped in sauce
Abundant vegetables and salmon topping

Salmon, pineapple, and beet all in one bite

The salmon dipped generously in sauce~~~,,, heh, and the poke veggies were really abundant and tasty! Fresh, obviously??! The special part was definitely the pineapple topping (it helps digestion!) and there was beet — red radish — too, so good!

A bite combining vegetables, salmon, and pineapple

Look at this!!!!! To show you how serious I am, I made this exact combo of salad veggies + salmon topping + pineapple and ate it like this!? Yum~ Mixing it with the recommended sauce made it even tastier~ If you can't decide on a sauce, I think it's best to just ask for the recommendation haha ㅎㅎㅎ

Half-eaten salmon buckwheat noodle poke

It was definitely there!?!? Ah but just looking at this photo now makes it look so delicious,,,, nom nom~ The veggies were fresh, the salmon was fresh too (zero fishy smell, loved that!), and the buckwheat noodles were tasty too!

An emptied poke bowl

And, gulp, finished it all!? How can something be this tasty and filling and healthy all at once!! First time visiting Ola Poke, and if there are other branches I'd love to go back — that's the kind of taste it was ^0^~!

A weekday lunch or dinner spot for Samseong Station office workers

Recommending Ola Poke, a poke and salad restaurant near Samseong Station! The interior is super clean and the tables are spacious, so I think it'd be great for office workers' weekday lunch or dinner!

I wish my workplace were around here too.....hehe. Solo dinner at Ola Poke — thanks for the meal!!!
