Korean Suljip Mugeunji is a Korean gastropub (suljip) in Sindorim, Guro, Seoul, about a 6-minute walk from Sindorim Station Exit 2. On a Thursday evening, the writer and her boyfriend shared spicy blue crab stew (27,500 won) with extra noodles (2,000 won), a squid kimchi pancake, a soy milk highball and an autumn apple highball, sitting side by side at the window counter. With its window counter seats and generous portions, Mugeunji is an easy pick for an evening date in Sindorim.

Weekend bossam lunch and cold noodles: The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch

The Jokbal Sindorim Main Branch is a jokbal (pork trotter) and bossam (boiled pork wrap) restaurant on the 1st floor of the Sindorim 3-cha Prugio commercial building, a 10-minute walk from Exit 3 of Guro Station in Seoul. On a weekend afternoon visit, a medium bossam (40,000 won) and sweet-and-sour buckwheat noodles (11,000 won) came with a surprise side of cold jokbal, and the bossam stayed warm to the last bite thanks to a heated serving plate.
