What is Yukrab Jongno like?
Yukrab Jongno (육랩 종로점) is a BBQ restaurant near Jonggak Station that serves beef and lamb together. Why so many Jongno posts lately~? Because I spent the whole weekend last week in Jongno, haha 😂 This one, Yukrab Jongno, is a place I went to with my mom 🫶🏻

Getting to Yukrab Jongno: which Jonggak Station exit?
Yukrab Jongno is a 2-minute walk from Exit 4 of Jonggak Station. It sits in the main alley of Jonggak's Youth Street (젊음의 거리) :)

What are the rooms and hall seats like?
Yukrab Jongno has a variety of rooms, so I totally recommend it for company dinners and all kinds of gatherings! And for groups of 5 or more booking a group room, they apparently give a random service item worth ₩10,000 or more per table! I should come back with friends next time, right? 😉
There are hall seats too, and that's where we sat! The breeze came in at the window seat, which is just perfect for this kind of weather ❤️ The all-black design fits hip Jonggak perfectly 😘

The restroom is inside the restaurant too, and it was super clean, which I liked 😁

Yukrab Jongno menu and prices
Yukrab Jongno sells a wide range of beef and lamb 💛 The meat prices are way kinder than I expected, so it's a great place to come for beef and lamb without worrying about the bill!

The drink selection is also really varied. Looks like a good match with tasty beef and lamb 👀

Side dishes and sauces
The side dishes at Yukrab Jongno are kimchi, cabbage salad, stir-fried mushrooms, pickled garlic and myeongi namul (pickled wild greens), and then 4 kinds of sauce show up too ❤️ Just put as much as you want to eat on your small plate and have it with the meat!
The ₩64,000 galbi set for 2: what's in it and how much food?
- Jingalbisal (prime short rib) 120g
- Lamb chops 230g
- Marinated galbi 120g
- Doenjang stew (soybean paste stew), 10-second cheese 3 pcs

We ordered the 2-person galbi set at Yukrab Jongno and it's quite a lot of food?!!!! 😁 Jingalbi, marinated galbi, lamb chops, plus mushrooms, pineapple, cherry tomatoes, rice cake, zucchini, asparagus and sweet pumpkin! If you want to try a bit of everything, I recommend the set menu :)

Jingalbisal grilled by the owner himself
Jingalbisal: Yukrab's signature menu. It's the top cut of beef short rib, so the meat is tender and the marbling is so pretty it looks like blooming flowers, which is why it's called kkotgalbisal (flower galbi meat).

The owner grilled the first meat, the jingalbisal, for us himself. Just looking at it, it's full of marbling, and it looks like chuck flap tail (salchisal)..? 😚
A shot of soju while the meat grilled 😘 Soju and beer are ₩3,000 as an event, so it's a total must-visit for drinkers 🤍

The perfectly grilled jingalbisal, and of course the first bite is a dab in salt! It was so tender and delicious 😋 Eaten with myeongi namul and the various sauces, yum~ It's sooo good~~!

The doenjang stew that comes with the set
The doenjang stew in the Yukrab Jongno set was rich and savory, packed with ingredients, and I enjoyed it a lot 🫶🏻
Lamb chops with no gamey smell
Lamb chops: Young lamb under 12 months old, aged with seasoning, so the meat is tender with little gamey smell.
While we were eating the galbi meat, they put the lamb chops on the grill!

Juicy lamb chops with not a hint of gamey smell, super tender and delicious 😋

King oyster mushrooms and pineapple were yummy too. With so many vegetables besides the meat, you won't get tired of eating at Yukrab Jongno!
Marinated galbi loaded with garlic
Marinated galbi: A cut from between the beef ribs, aged in Yukrab's own handmade marinade loaded with garlic, which Koreans love, for chewy galbi meat.

Now it's the marinated galbi's turn. Piled with garlic sauce~ looks delicious, right? 😁 I cleared the marinated galbi too ⭐
Verdict: Yukrab Jongno with mom
I loved being able to eat beef and lamb together at this Jonggak Station BBQ spot, Yukrab Jongno! Next time I'll come with friends and grill meat in a room, haha. I ate well 💛
