Haeundae Station café, fig tiramisu for the train: Geumsong Deokmi

Geumsong Deokmi Haeridan-gil Branch was a real find for desserts in Haeundae's Haeridan-gil area.

Before heading up to Seoul, I wanted to look around Haeridan-gil, so I browsed prop shops and clothing stores and then stopped for a coffee. The atmosphere was lovely and the desserts were seriously good, so let me introduce Geumsong Deokmi Haeridan-gil Branch (금송 덕미 해운대 해리단길점)~

Where is Geumsong Deokmi Haeridan-gil Branch, and what about parking?

Geumsong Deokmi Haeridan-gil Branch is a 1–2 minute walk from Haeundae Station, on the second floor of a building at the entrance of Haeridan-gil, so it was easy to find. As is typical for Haeridan-gil, there is no dedicated parking, so if you come by car, use the nearby Haeridan-gil public parking lot.

Weekday atmosphere and seating at Geumsong Deokmi

Go up the stairs to the second floor and the modern interior is the first thing that catches your eye, right? Since the day I was heading to Seoul was a weekday, it was quiet and relaxed, which was great~ I hear it's such a popular Haeundae café that there's always a wait on weekends!

The interior of Geumsong Deokmi is inspired by a modern European hotel and its concierge, and the mood was very clean and calm.

One whole wall is floor-to-ceiling glass, so plenty of light comes in and the whole place feels bright and warm. If you're looking for a Haeundae café with a nice mood and tasty desserts, I think Geumsong Deokmi Haeridan-gil Branch is worth a visit~!!

For seating, there's a round table in the center and semicircular sofa seats along the window, and the layout felt spacious overall! I didn't get to go that day, but there's an outdoor terrace on the rooftop, and in cool autumn weather like now, enjoying it up there in the sun sounds great.

What did we order at Geumsong Deokmi?

Before ordering, there were dessert models on one side, so I had a look. Don't they all look sooo delicious???

Since it's famous as a dessert spot, we ordered the dense, fudgy Oreo cheesecake and the fig Earl Grey tiramisu, plus the signature Royal Vanilla Latte and an iced Americano.

The Americano at Geumsong Deokmi comes with three bean options, like this~

October-only fig Earl Grey tiramisu: still good on the train?

Our order came out and wow!!! The presentation is so so pretty, right!!!?

The fig Earl Grey tiramisu is piled generously with big, sweet figs in two layers, and it tasted as good as it looked~~ It's an October-only seasonal item, so if you love figs, definitely order it~~!

My train time was a bit tight, so I took the fig Earl Grey tiramisu to go and ate it on the train. Eaten together with the Earl Grey cream underneath, it was so smooth with just the right sweetness, sooo good~~

It has a different charm from an ordinary coffee tiramisu: you taste the subtle sweetness of the fig and the fragrant flavor Earl Grey is known for, and it was plenty delicious on its own as a tiramisu!

How does the Oreo cheesecake at Geumsong Deokmi taste?

I ate the Oreo cheesecake in the café with my coffee. You know, right!? Cheesecake is a dessert that never fails!?

Just looking at the cross-section, you can see how dense and fudgy it is, so my expectations went up before I even took a bite! The Oreo sprinkled on top is sweet with a rich chocolate flavor... mmm~~!!! Crazy good. One bite and you just nod your head!!!!

There's a crunchy cookie base at the bottom for texture, and the dense cheese flavor in the middle is the real deal, so it's absolutely perfect when you're craving something sweet!!

My older sister, who loves rich, savory cheesecake, raved that the Oreo cheesecake was totally delicious!! haha If you usually like cheesecake, I bet you'll be satisfied for sure~~ The nutty richness of the dense, thick cheese is amazing~~~

The signature Royal Vanilla Latte

The Royal Vanilla Latte, Geumsong Deokmi's signature drink, is made with handmade vanilla bean syrup, so the sweetness isn't artificial; a deep vanilla aroma spreads softly, and the coffee was really good too!

With its modern European hotel-concierge vibe, Geumsong Deokmi Haeridan-gil Branch is a Haeundae café that's also great for a date! If you're exploring Haeundae in Busan and want a sugar boost with tasty desserts, I recommend giving it a visit!
