Sinnonhyeon hair salon build perm for soft volume: Park Jun Beauty Lab

Park Jun Beauty Lab Gangnam Branch is a hair salon in Gangnam, Seoul, about 111m from Exit 4 of Sinnonhyeon Station. After a consultation, head designer Jiyeon suggested a build perm instead of the style originally planned, and the perm was done together with a Re-Born recovery perm, leaving curls that fall gently with enough volume to soften the face line. The consultation that found the right style together was the most memorable part of the visit.

Tree-shaded terrace café near Sinnonhyeon: fig pie, Upper and Under

Upper and Under is a terrace café in Gangnam, Seoul, about 300m from Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 6, set in a two-story Western-style house ringed by big trees. On the terrace the writer ordered an americano (6,500 won), an einspänner (8,000 won) and a mango bar sherbet latte (9,000 won), with raspberry cake (8,500 won) and fig pie (8,300 won). On a clear day, Upper and Under is one of the greenest spots to sit in the middle of Gangnam.
