Hongdae hanok restaurant with flower-painted seats in Seoul: Anok
Anok is a hanok Korean restaurant a short walk from Hongik University Station in Hongdae, Seoul. The writer and a friend ordered clear gomtang (13,000 won), Pyongyang mul-naengmyeon (14,000 won) and steamed pork tail (29,000 won) at a table painted with traditional flowers, and the first-time pork tail tasted like jokbal and came in a generous portion. Both the gomtang and the naengmyeon broth were mild rather than heavy, so Anok is worth a visit for hanok atmosphere and clear broth in Hongdae.
