Jungnang hanjeongsik set with grilled hwangtae, ₩18,000: Sanchaega

Sanchaega Hanjeongsik Meokgol Main Branch is a hanjeongsik (Korean set-menu) restaurant in Jungnang, Seoul, a three-minute walk from Meokgol Station Exit 5. Arriving before lunchtime with parents, the writer ordered the mushroom deodeok (bellflower root) cauldron rice set for ₩18,000, which came with grilled fish, seasoned squid, grilled deodeok, stir-fried pork, three kinds of namul (seasoned vegetables), grilled hwangtae (dried pollack) and scorched rice from the cauldron to finish. Sanchaega is an easy recommendation for a good-value, generous meal with parents.
