Sillim Station pizza for two: XL pepperoni-corn bacon half, Pug Pizza

Pug Pizza House Sillim Branch is a pizza restaurant in a 3-story standalone building on Sillim-ro in Gwanak, Seoul, and its entire 3rd floor is a pet zone. Two people shared the half-and-half pizza & pasta set, which came with an XL pizza split between pepperoni and whole-corn double bacon, plus tomato cheese pasta, an oriental mini salad and a cola, and it left them full. With a spacious, pleasant room, comfortable chairs and plenty of set options, Pug Pizza House Sillim Branch is a good spot for two to share pizza near Sillim Station.

Yeonnam-dong pasta spot 4 years on, rosé & fresh OJ: Hôtel de Couture

Hôtel de Couture (오뗄드꾸뜨) is a pasta and Western-style restaurant on the 1.5th floor on Donggyo-ro 46-gil in Yeonnam-dong, Mapo, Seoul. Returning for the first time since 2022, the blogger and a friend ordered the honey bacon rosé pasta and jambon truffle cream risotto (₩17,000 each) plus a ₩6,000 orange juice, and the rosé sauce and the orange juice, which tasted freshly squeezed, stood out most. Four years later, Hôtel de Couture tastes just the same and remains a reliable Yeonnam-dong pasta spot for dates and group meals.

Mil Tteok Factory Main Branch (밀떡팩토리 본점) is a tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) restaurant on basement level 1 of a building on Gangnam-daero 152-gil, near Sinsa Station in Gangnam, Seoul. On a date, the writer ordered Toowoomba tteokbokki M (for 2), butter garlic fries, real butter soy-braised beef rice and 2 cans of cola for 35,000 won in total, and her boyfriend, who doesn't handle spicy food well, still enjoyed the Toowoomba tteokbokki. With a clean dining room, generous portions for the price and a great match between the Toowoomba sauce and the beef rice, Mil Tteok Factory Main Branch is worth recommending to couples who love tteokbokki.

Hongik Univ. Station Western restaurant: ring a bell to order at Omil

Omil Hongdae is a Western-style restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building on Yanghwa-ro, near Hongik Univ. Station in Mapo, Seoul, where diners order by ringing a bell at their table. After a weekday wait, two women shared the 48,700 won Oh! set for two: rubber duck omurice, spicy chuck flap risotto, fried corn and two sodas. They cleared every plate and named the spicy chuck flap risotto the best dish. Book a remote spot on Catch Table first, and Omil Hongdae is a Hongdae date restaurant that delivers on both looks and taste.
