Yeondong, Jeju beef BBQ right at the 5pm opening: Dolgyeok Hanwoo
Dolgyeok Hanwoo is a hanwoo (Korean beef) and black pork grill house in Yeondong, Jeju, a 10-minute drive from Jeju Airport. On the first evening of a Jeju trip the writer arrived right at the 5pm reopening and ordered 100g of manong (garlic) galbisal, 100g of hanwoo galbisal and 180g of cubed black pork jowl, and the free-refill hanwoo brisket miyeokguk (seaweed soup) was the standout. With 5 dipping sauces and warm service, Dolgyeok Hanwoo is a paid-for-it-myself spot the writer would return to without hesitation.
