Dolgyeok Hanwoo, a must-visit spot in Yeondong, Jeju — I'd go back on my own dime 1000% haha🤤
It's Ingda here🤤 On our first night after landing in Jeju, I'd already had plenty of black pork before, so this time I really wanted Jeju hanwoo (Korean beef) haha
Dolgyeok Hanwoo is a Yeondong restaurant just 10 minutes by car from Jeju Airport. When I looked it up, apparently everyone except me already knew it as a top Jeju beef spot, so I booked right away and went.

What arrives at the 5pm opening: refillable miyeokguk and 5 sauces
The restaurant vibe is clean! I went right when it opened at 5, and by the time I was leaving it was already full haha.. Definitely a top beef spot in Yeondong, Jeju👏🏻
Since I booked through Naver Reservation, they had everything pre-set for us! There's salt, wasabi, manong chili soy sauce, and Dolgyeok sashimi sauce — a variety of sauces — but the special sauce is truly overwhelming. I once read a review saying it was so good you'd want to wash your face in the manong soy sauce, and now I get what they meant😭
Okay, focus. The real kicker here is the miyeokguk (seaweed soup)👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wow, it's genuinely delicious. You could eat two bowls of rice with just the miyeokguk, no meat needed
Inside there seemed to be hanwoo brisket, scallions, and garlic, and surprisingly the scallions worked really well. And they said it's all-you-can-refill, so I wonder if the owner is actually making any money off it,,😭😇
Finished it to the last drop-! They could honestly sell just the miyeokguk on its own

What we ordered at Dolgyeok Hanwoo this time was manong galbisal 100g, hanwoo galbisal 100g, and black pork cubed pork jowl 180g! We're not fans of chadolbagi so we skipped it, but they said most people order chadolbagi, manong galbisal, and hanwoo galbisal together.

Manong (garlic) galbisal, best eaten with no dipping sauce
Manong galbisal is one of Dolgyeok Hanwoo's signature dishes — apparently 'manong' means garlic in Jeju dialect. It's seasoned with garlic sauce right when you order, so you get to grill it fresh.
Manong galbisal tastes best eaten plain, with no dipping at all. It's already seasoned, so it's plenty savory with a subtle garlic aroma — so good ㅜㅜ
Hanwoo galbisal: chewy, nutty and grilled to order
Unlike the manong, the hanwoo galbisal isn't seasoned on its own.
The hanwoo galbisal at Dolgyeok Hanwoo, this Yeondong, Jeju spot, was chewy yet savory. Just, honestly, top-tier beef, that's it! I mean, all I have to say is it's delicious🤤
While I was debating which sauce would taste best, a staff member kindly dipped each piece into the different sauces for us themselves; Dolgyeok Hanwoo, this top beef spot in Yeondong, Jeju, didn't get that reputation for nothing ㅠㅠ even the staff are incredibly kind

Wow. From now on this is my number one for Jeju black pork. A beef restaurant where even the black pork is amazing😭💖😭 I go to Jeju often, and every time, I always eat black pork for dinner — I've been to all the famous spots, but Dolgyeok Hanwoo, this Yeondong, Jeju favorite, has taken the top spot in my heart👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎉🎊🎉 The charcoal aroma goes without saying, and it just melts the moment it's in your mouth
Is Dolgyeok Hanwoo in Yeondong, Jeju worth a visit?
The staff service was so kind that when we asked about the right grilling timing or which sauce combos to try, they went beyond kindness — they stood right beside us and walked us through everything, one by one. 😭💖😭
For dessert, they even gave us Jeju Gujwa carrot juice🥕🥕 If you want a proper hanwoo meal during your Jeju trip, or you're looking for a great restaurant near Jeju Airport, I recommend Dolgyeok Hanwoo, a Yeondong favorite. Definitely go — you won't regret it👏🏻🤍👏🏻
