I was looking for a place around Garosu-gil where I could enjoy a tasty Chinese course meal, and that's how I ended up at Samsin Garosu-gil, haha. The lunch course price was so good that I'd been looking forward to it even before the visit!

What are the atmosphere and the rooms like?
The atmosphere at Samsin Garosu-gil is clean and a little upscale, which I liked :) The private rooms in particular made it really nice for a quiet meal.
Personally I loved being able to chat comfortably, without worrying about the tables around us, haha. I think it would work well for a date, a family meal or a get-together with friends!
And the staff were really kind 🥹 They looked after us attentively throughout the meal and were so pleasant that we had a lovely time💛
What is Samsin's Lunch Course A price and lineup?
Let me show you the menu at Samsin Garosu-gil!

We ordered Lunch Course A! It's ₩25,000 per person and the lineup is really solid, haha.
- Dim sum
- Crab soup
- Jajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce) or jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup)
- Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork)
You get all this variety in one go! I'd assumed a course meal in Garosu-gil would be pricey, but the lunch course was more reasonable than I expected, so I was even happier, haha.

The table setting was elegant and neat too, which I liked :)
King crab soup and handmade xiaolongbao
Course A starts with warm king crab soup! The smooth soup had crab meat in it, which was great for whetting the appetite before the main meal, haha. Starting with something warm gave the course a good first impression :)
Next came the handmade xiaolongbao (soup dumplings)! You can't skip these in a Chinese course, haha. They taste best hot, so I dug in as soon as they arrived 😊

The juicy xiaolongbao had a lovely flavor in each bite! If you like dim sum, I think you'll be happy with these, haha.
Tokyo tangsuyuk with sauce poured onto an iron plate
Tangsuyuk, a course essential, arrived :) It was Tokyo-style tangsuyuk, a bit different from the usual kind, so I was extra curious about it!

The crispy texture and the sauce went well together, and since it comes as part of a course, I could enjoy it without feeling overloaded! The tangsuyuk is served on an iron plate and they pour the sauce over it right at the table. They told us not to touch the plate because it's hot✅

Jajangmyeon and meat jjamppong: ordering both to share
For the final meal in Course A you can choose jajangmyeon or meat jjamppong! I was curious about both, so my friend and I ordered one of each and shared, and taking turns was so nice, haha.
The jjamppong had a ton of meat in it!! When the jajangmyeon started to feel rich, switching to the jjamppong was perfect.

After a Chinese course, it only feels finished once you've had the noodle course too, haha. Going from the dishes to the meal made it a hearty lunch!!

How was the menbosha we added on top of the course?
There was another dish I was curious about besides Course A, so I ordered menbosha (fried shrimp toast) as an extra! Its crispy texture made it a great side to the course. If you like menbosha, it's worth adding once :)

Is Samsin Garosu-gil's Lunch Course A worth recommending?
I liked that Course A at Samsin Garosu-gil lets you taste a wide range of Chinese dishes for ₩25,000! Above all, the restaurant felt private so we could eat comfortably, and the staff were so kind that it made the visit even better 🤍
If you're looking for a Chinese restaurant with a nice atmosphere in Garosu-gil, or a spot for a date or a lunch with friends, I recommend Samsin Garosu-gil! It's a place where I'd like to try the other course menus next time, haha.
