Resting07 is a Western-style restaurant on the 2nd floor on Dongseong-ro in Jung-gu, Daegu. A couple celebrating their 7th anniversary ordered aglio e olio pasta, hot chicken risotto and sweet potato pizza for around ₩40,000, wrote an anniversary message on a lettering glass and got a green grape ade in it. Resting07 is a good pick for a budget-friendly anniversary date, with low prices, big portions and mild, clean-tasting Western food.

Asian dining in Gyodong, Daegu: nasi goreng and kai phrai at Thai Yami

Thai Yami is a Thai restaurant on Gyeongsanggamyeong-gil in Gyodong, Jung-gu, Daegu. Two of us came on a weekday evening at 6:30pm and ordered kai phrai (Thai fried chicken), pad thai, nasi goreng and draft beer, with a corn salad served first as an appetizer. The kai phrai, juicy fried chicken with a fresh, tangy salad, was the most memorable dish and the one to order again.
