Today I visited Resting07 in Dongseong-ro. Midsummer is just around the corner, so I hope you're all staying healthy. The weather is nice and cool today. It had been a while since I last ate out for Western food, so I was looking forward to it even before sitting down. And wait, this place has 2,000 blog reviews?! Wow!!!!!!!!!!

Where is the entrance to Resting07?
Resting07 is on the 2nd floor of a building in Dongseong-ro, Daegu, so you might miss it. Just take the stairs on the right and walk up.

There's a full-length mirror in front of the door, big and clear. I saw lots of people taking photos in front of it after their meals, so keep that in mind, haha.

Along the stairs they've hung photos of past customers, which works nicely as decoration. It's a popular place, so there were tons of them. It seems the owner will take one for you if you ask.

What are the seats and atmosphere like at Resting07?
Resting07 has around 10 tables, plus 3 private-room-style spots, though the rooms seem to need a reservation. There were customers on the left, so I couldn't photograph the whole place.
The tables are spaced widely, so it's good for eating quietly. The overall mood is bright, which might be hit or miss for some people, but it's on the 2nd floor, and if it were too dark I guess nobody would come up.

We wrote our 7th anniversary message on the Resting07 lettering glass
Resting07 gives a drink to people celebrating a birthday, and they hand you a glass you can write a commemorative message on with a highlighter? Marker? Whatever it was. I poured my artistic soul into it.

You can write something like this. Not bad, right? Our 7th anniversary was recently, so I wrote that, and my girlfriend was happy with it. There were babies at the table behind us, and I think they'd love this.

Once you've written on the glass and bring it over, they fill it with a juice of your choice. We asked for green grape ade. They mix it with sparkling water right on the spot, and it's seriously delicious.

How are the starter bread and sauce at Resting07?
Resting07 brings starter bread and pickles, and the bread is tasty. Even though it's just a starter, the portion is big. If you don't eat much, boxing up the rest after your mains is a good idea.

They give you a sauce to dip the bread in. I don't know what it's called, but it went really well with the bread. There's quite a lot of sauce, and they'll refill it if you ask.

Aglio e olio, hot chicken risotto and sweet potato pizza for around ₩40,000
At Resting07 we ordered aglio e olio pasta, hot chicken risotto, and a sweet potato pizza? The total came to around ₩40,000. Looking at it now, we ordered such greasy stuff. The hot chicken risotto was a little spicy? so it balanced things out.

The prices are cheap but the portions are big, which I liked. Overall the seasoning isn't strong, and the food is mild and clean-tasting. Personally I love cream pasta, but Resting07's aglio e olio has plenty of charm too. The pizza has a thin crust rather than a thick one, which made it even better.

I don't know what the white stuff on top of the pizza is, but it was soft and a bit creamy? That kind of texture. It wasn't weird.

Ordering at Resting07 is done by kiosk
You can order at Resting07 with a kiosk, which was convenient. They also showed us the menu board once more, and it seems like a two-birds-one-stone thing since it saves on labor costs too.
Resting07 overall review
This was a spot I'd happily eat at again. I haven't posted on my blog for a while, but I'm going to start again. Saving money while dating feels like the wisest choice. You should try it too!
