Mapo duck restaurant with hanok terrace, set for two: Gongjung Dodeok
Gongjung Dodeok is a duck restaurant on Baekbeom-ro 20-gil in Mapo, Seoul, with hanok-style outdoor terrace seating near the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail. On the terrace the writer ordered the Gongjung marinated duck (jumulleok) set for two (66,000 won) and the cheese potato pancake (24,000 won), eating the seasoned duck with perilla leaves, pickled radish wraps and sauce, then a boneless duck potato stew in a broth thick with ground perilla seed. Terrace seats at Gongjung Dodeok can't be reserved and have no burners, so only the marinated duck set or single dishes are available outside — worth knowing before you go.
