Something About Coffee (썸띵어바웃커피) is a dessert café near Sinnonhyeon Station, good for a coffee break after a meal. While everyone else was out on dates, I was catching up properly with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. We went to this Sinnonhyeon café for coffee after eating, and the conversation never stopped, so two hours flew by haha

We ordered a matcha cream choco latte, an iced americano, a choco pudding cookie and one cake to share, and the cheesecake topped with fig on black sesame mousse was honestly the best of all.

Getting to Something About Coffee and opening hours

Something About Coffee is 314 m from Exit 6 of Sinnonhyeon Station, a comfortable walking distance after a meal. The café uses the 1st and 2nd floors, plus the 2nd-floor terrace.

The cheesecake with fig on top was the best

The board at the entrance says it opens at 11:00 and closes at 22:30, but dine-in ends at 22:00, so check that if you plan a long evening chat. We stayed the full two hours, lol

Order at the 2nd-floor dessert case

You order on the 2nd floor. The café's Instagram bio even says same-day baked goods and seasonal fruit cakes, so desserts are clearly the focus. You pick your dessert at the case first and order drinks at the same time.

Is there a wait at Something About Coffee?

We went without a reservation and there was no wait. Still, I suspect there might be one at peak times, so if you're going when it's busy, give yourself a little extra time to be safe.

Two hours on the 2nd-floor terrace

There's indoor seating on both the 1st and 2nd floors, but we settled on the 2nd-floor terrace. Sitting across from a friend I hadn't seen in ages on an outdoor terrace, I honestly lost track of time.

How does the black sesame mousse fig cheesecake taste?

My top pick of everything we ordered at Something About Coffee was the cheesecake with fig on black sesame mousse. I honestly can't remember the cake's official name, sorry! So I'll just call it what it looks like: a cheesecake with fig on black sesame mousse.

A whole fig sits on top, sweet but not too sweet, so it's mild. The plain richness of the cheesecake mixes with the buttery taste of the fig, and the more I ate, the more elegant the flavor felt.

On top of that, the black sesame mousse and cream keep each bite mellow, so even though it's a sweet cake it never feels heavy to the end. If I had to pick just one cake at a Sinnonhyeon café, this is it, no hesitation.

For a sweet craving: the choco pudding cookie

The choco pudding cookie at Something About Coffee is a brownie with pudding inside, and the texture is the best. If the cake leans mild, this one is definitely on the sweet side, so if you're craving something sweet, do try it!

Matcha cream choco latte and americano price

For drinks, the matcha cream choco latte blends chocolate with a bitter edge, which made it surprisingly charming, and we also got an iced americano. The Naver Place menu lists the Something About Coffee americano at ₩6,500 (as of May 4, 2026).

With two desserts and two drinks on the table, we caught up on everything we'd missed and two hours vanished lol While others were on dates, we filled the time with chatting haha

Comfortable for a long stay? Wi-Fi, restrooms and parking

According to Naver Place, Something About Coffee has Wi-Fi and separate men's and women's restrooms, so it's comfortable for sitting and chatting a long time. I didn't park, so I don't know about parking; if you're driving, call ahead to check.
