Yuseong kimchi stew restaurant packed at 7pm: Jeonju House
Jeonju House is a Korean restaurant on Oncheon-ro 101beon-gil in Yuseong, Daejeon, serving cast-iron galbi (short rib) kimchi stew with stone-pot rice. On a return visit past 7pm every table at Jeonju House was full with work dinners, family meals and dates, and the galbi kimchi stew for two arrived with a half head of whole cabbage kimchi and whole short ribs cut at the table with scissors. Unlike an earlier visit this year the kimchi had ripened into a pleasant sourness, and with self-serve tofu, chive kimchi and rice-crust tea at the end it made a filling meal.
