Teppan restaurant in Yeonnam-dong: 150g scallop add-on at Gusa Yeonnam

Gusa Yeonnam is a teppan (iron-griddle) Japanese restaurant on the basement level of Yeontral Tower in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul, near Hongik University Station. The signature 2-person set is 66,000 won, and adding 150g of scallops for 9,000 won brought the bill to 75,000 won, eaten at the counter seats right in front of the griddle — the scallops, nutty outside and soft inside, were more memorable than the wagyu skirt steak or the black tiger shrimp. With the torch fire show to watch, Gusa Yeonnam works well as a slow-paced Yeonnam-dong date spot.
