Two-floor bar seats and free rice at a City Hall ramen shop: Mentsuru
Mentsuru City Hall Branch is a ramen restaurant on Seosomun-ro 11-gil near City Hall Station in Jung-gu, Seoul, with bar seating on both its ground floor and basement. Visiting after work with a friend, the writer ordered spicy shoyu ramen (hangover ramen) for 11,500 won, tori paitan for 12,000 won and handmade karaage for 7,000 won, then mixed the free rice into the leftover broth. With phone holders, outlets and aprons at the bar seats, Mentsuru works just as well for a solo dinner as for a date.
