Yeouido Korean restaurant lunch: dried croaker set from a 500℃ oven
Hwadeogeuro Gan Godeungeo Bansang Yeouido is a wood-fired fish grill restaurant on the B1 floor of Lotte Castle Ivy, near Exit 2 of Saetgang Station in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. The writer ordered the boribulbi set (dried yellow croaker, 20,500 won) grilled in a 500℃ oven and used the self-serve bar of tteokbokki, side dishes and sungnyung (scorched-rice water), with free coffee and plum tea after the meal. Crisp outside and moist inside, the croaker cleared a bowl of rice fast and made a filling weekday lunch for Yeouido office workers.
