In short

Long Time No See Dangsan Branch (롱타임노씨 당산점) is a self-pour draft beer pub on the 2nd floor near Exit 12 of Dangsan Station in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. After a filling dinner, the writer stopped by Long Time No See for a second round of Hoegaarden draft with cheese balls served with honey and tongojok (whole squid legs), and found the chilled glass fridge and self-service zone convenient. Verdict: Long Time No See is a good Dangsan Station bar for a light beer when you're already full.

Where is Long Time No See for a second-round beer near Dangsan Station?

I'd had a big dinner near Dangsan Station and went looking for a beer place where I could keep things super light. This one is right by the station, so I dropped in for a casual second round.

Long Time No See Dangsan Branch: waiting time and atmosphere

The inside is bigger than I expected and looked like it could easily handle a big group. Last time I waited a bit to get in, but this day it was rainy and gloomy, so I got in right away, lucky me haha. The mood works well for a casual get-together or a company dinner.

Long Time No See menu picks that work even when you're full

Pizza is the signature on the menu, but there's plenty more: clam soup, spicy hangover pasta, fish cake soup, butter garlic fries and so on. Last visit I came with a group and we had a half-and-half pizza, but this time I'd eaten such a huge dinner that I had to skip the pizza, sob. If you're full like me, you don't have to order pizza at all!

What's in the self-service zone at Long Time No See?

The Dangsan branch has a well-stocked self-service zone where you can grab hovenia tea (heotgaesu, a hangover-soothing tea), the sauces that pizza needs, and ice yourself. The hovenia tea is tasty and there are sauces too, so help yourself ^^ Ice is there as well, which made it really convenient.

Why the beer tastes great at Long Time No See: the chilled glass fridge

There's a separate fridge that keeps the glasses cold ❄ That's why Long Time No See is such a great beer spot!! In weather like this, a cold beer is everything!! Right? Just pick a chilled glass yourself and pour straight into it ><

How do you choose and pour self-serve draft beer at Long Time No See?

The screen shows each beer's name along with a rough description of its aroma and taste, so even if you don't know a beer you can read up and pick what suits you. There's a really wide range of draft beers, and once you tag your wristband and start pouring, the price shows up too, so no worries.

I like Hoegaarden, so I had a glass. At first it came out with a lot of foam, so I told a staff member and they poured it again for me with less foam. If yours gets too foamy, definitely tell the staff!!

How were the cheese balls and tongojok as second-round bar snacks?

Long Time No See cheese balls served with honey

The cheese balls come with honey, so it felt like eating gorgonzola pizza, hahaha. I ordered cheese balls and tongojok (whole squid legs) as light snacks, and it was my first time getting cheese balls with honey. Cheese plus honey, need I say more? So good. There was more cheese inside than I expected, and the creamy taste was just right with beer.

Tongojok (whole squid legs) with mayo cheongyang chili sauce

Just like the name says, the tongojok came with really plump squid legs! Nuts came along too, so it's a nice light snack to order when you're full. The sauce was my favorite mayo, and they cleverly added cheongyang chili (a spicy Korean green chili) to it, so dipping the squid in it was just heavenly... I kept saying I was full and still finished everything, haha.

Why Long Time No See is a good beer bar near Dangsan Station

The restroom is inside the pub too, so I could drink beer comfortably. It's good for going to eat pizza and pasta along with beer, and good for a light second round when you're full like me! If you're looking for a great beer spot near Dangsan Station, this is the place ><
