QR self-rental of picnic gear at Mangwon Han River Park: Picnic List

Picnic List Mangwon is a self-service picnic gear rental shop across from the main entrance of Mangwon Han River Park in Mapo, Seoul. During unmanned hours you scan a QR code and pick up six items yourself — an embossed mat, a large mat, a table, a tent, a camping chair and a fan — then load them onto a wagon; the basic rental runs 3 hours, and an all-day pass of 6 hours costs 10,000 won. Because Picnic List Mangwon is unstaffed, prices stay low and the gear looked practically new, making a fall Han River picnic easy to pull off.

Hapjeong Italian restaurant with lemon calamari pasta: Riike

Riike is a one-chef Italian restaurant near Hapjeong Station in Mapo, Seoul. We ordered the bread spread (7,000 won), gamtae (sea lettuce) vongole pasta (17,000 won) and lemon calamari pasta (18,000 won) in a calm 16-seat room with wide spacing between tables, and every dish tasted clean and bright. If you want atmosphere plus pasta with real character on a Hapjeong date, Riike is worth booking.
