I found a hidden gem in Daechi! The atmosphere is so pretty it feels like being abroad, and the fresh ingredients put you in a great mood.

Chilango is open every day from 17:00 to 23:00, and Sunday is listed as the day off. You can reserve through Chilango's Instagram or by phone, and dogs are welcome.

If you drive, Chilango has free parking for up to 3 cars.

What is the summer terrace at Chilango like?

Chilango has opened its summer terrace! You can eat out there in a lovely setting. I got lucky: there was one terrace table free, so I grabbed it.

The wooden decor around the terrace is so pretty that it felt like I was on a trip abroad. T_T It's just so lovely. If you go to Chilango, definitely fight for a terrace seat~

What to order at Chilango: the 49,000 won taco plate for two

Chilango only has tacos on the menu, so it wasn't confusing at all. Let me recommend what to order.

My recommendation is the taco plate for 2, ₩49,000. It's said to be Chilango's signature: aged meat and fresh seafood cooked with natural ingredients, full of flavor.

At most Mexican restaurants there are burritos and a million other things on the menu, and your head spins, right~? At Daechi's Chilango the taco plate is the main dish. No need to look at anything else, just order tacos haha

There are side dishes like gambas or wings too. The taco plate is really showy and generous. Just looking at it, I thought, wow~~~ so pretty! It's the kind of food that makes you exclaim.

You taste it with your eyes first, all those colors, then get surprised by how fresh it is. I wasn't familiar with how to eat tacos, but they gave us a guide, and it was fun wrapping them up in the recommended ways.

Chilango's sauces, toppings and beef and jumbo shrimp tacos

Chilango's taco plate comes with sooooo many sauces and toppings that this is the first place where I couldn't finish everything. They gave me an overflowing amount of guacamole, which I love, and this light green sauce was the best. (Not spicy)

I chose beef + shrimp for the plate (you have to pick a combination of 2). The shrimp are truly jumbo shrimp~! The beef was tender too. The flavor here is perfect, so please trust me and go just once~~~😉

Extra tortillas cost ₩2,000 for 4 :)

Drinks at Chilango: Stella draft, 350 ml for 9,000 won

Chilango sells wine and beer. A 350ml Stella draft is ₩9,000, a classic taco-and-beer pairing. A terrace + summer night + Mexican food without a drink would be a letdown.

I had no choice but to order a draft beer. I wanted a Hoegaarden, but it was sold out! The grilled chili peppers are delicious. If you ask for cilantro, they'll give it to you.

Maybe because they take good care of the beer, it seemed really popular. I wanted two glasses, but one made me tipsy, so I added a cola. I must be drunk on the atmosphere... 😉❤️ The cola comes in an iced glass, so prettily too~!

Is the Chilango restroom clean and easy for washing hands?

Chilango has a restroom inside, which is so convenient! There's even a faucet outside the restroom, so you can wash your hands before eating tacos. (100 points!) They also gave us CESCO wet wipes, which somehow made everything feel cleaner?

You use your hands quite a bit when eating tacos, so you want to wash up, and it's a hassle if the restroom is far... A Daechi restaurant where everything is perfect. I'm definitely coming back once more. Sob, I want to go so badly haha

I photographed Chilango's menu with care, so please use it as a reference. Judging by how good the main dish is, I expect the side dishes are all delicious too. The shrimp in particular was plump and tasty. The gambas must be delicious..

Is Chilango in Daechi worth it? Final verdict

Chilango's atmosphere is so good that it's the kind of place you'd want to come to every day even without thinking about the food..!

With free parking and dogs allowed, it's a hidden gem in Daechi where I'd become a regular. Why did I only find out now?!!! And the taste is outstanding too, so I keep thinking about that taco plate.

If you live in Daechi, definitely try Chilango. You won't regret it haha They also sell a single serving of tacos by the piece, so when you're craving a beer, you can spend a happy time alone on the terrace with good food.
