Oreno Ramen Eunpyeong is a chicken-broth paitan ramen restaurant right by Bulgwangcheon stream, steps from Saejeol Station in Eunpyeong, Seoul. On a weekend morning, 20 minutes after opening, the writer and her husband ordered tori paitan, tsukune chashu, and a soft-boiled egg, then finished with rice mixed into the broth — a bowl her husband, recovering from a bad cold, called stronger than the Hapjeong flagship's soup. It's the bowl they now reach for whenever he's run down.
