Greek yogurt café in Gangnam for next-morning breakfast: Lazy Yogurt

In short

Lazy Yogurt Gangnam is a handmade Greek yogurt shop a 6-minute walk from Gangnam Station Exit 4 in Seoul. Two bowls, Greek in Hongkong and Claire Single, were packed to go in the evening, kept in the fridge overnight and eaten the next morning, with the yogurt flavor switched to blueberry for an extra 1,500 won. The thick, dense yogurt with fresh mango, fresh grapefruit and green grapes made a light autumn breakfast that holds up well overnight.

At home I usually eat Greek yogurt for breakfast with whatever fruit or granola I have on hand, but sometimes when I don't feel like making it myself, I pick up a Greek yogurt bowl from a specialty shop and save it for the next morning. This time I was in Gangnam and grabbed a couple of Greek yogurt bowls to go from Lazy Yogurt. I'm the type who loves a thick, creamy yogurt texture and always hunts for that, and this place nailed both the rich yogurt flavor and the thick texture 🤩

Lazy Yogurt takes 72 hours to carefully make its handmade Greek yogurt, and lets you build a bowl to your own taste by combining different flavors with fruit, granola, and honey.

I use Greek yogurt a lot when I'm watching what I eat. Adding fruit or granola makes it easy to build a full meal, and it also works when I just want a sweet dessert. Since the fruit, granola, and honey toppings differ from menu to menu, if you're eating this as part of a diet it's worth picking the combination that fits what you actually want. Having options like Lazy Yogurt does — from plain Greek yogurt to different flavors and topping menus — makes it easy to pick whatever you're in the mood for that day 😊

Packed to go at night, eaten for breakfast the next morning

I picked up my order from Lazy Yogurt Gangnam in the evening and brought it home. Then I pulled it out the next morning and ate it — it was the perfect breakfast 👍 On mornings when a heavy meal feels like too much, having a Greek yogurt bowl ready to go makes for an easy meal. Especially with menus that already come with fruit or granola mixed in, there was no need to prep anything else — I could just eat it right away.

✔️ Greek in Hongkong ✔️ Claire Single That's what I ordered!

Look at how generous the portions are~!! It was left in the fridge and still tasted great the next day.

Greek in Hongkong: fresh mango, fresh grapefruit and sago pearls

One of my orders was the Greek in Hongkong. The name alone made me curious — it's a signature menu made of Greek yogurt + fresh mango + fresh grapefruit + sago pearls. Apparently it's a Greek yogurt reinterpretation of yangzhi ganlu (a Hong Kong-style mango and grapefruit dessert). With mango and grapefruit in it, the bright, sweet fruit flavor paired really well with the thick Greek yogurt.

Claire Single: orange, green grapes, granola and honey

The Claire Single is Greek yogurt + orange + green grapes + granola + honey. It has pretty much all the ingredients I love, so I was already excited when I ordered it 😊 The orange and green grapes gave it a refreshing feel overall, and the crunchy bite of the granola matched nicely with the thick texture of the Greek yogurt. On top of that, I drizzled honey over it for a sweeter finish 😙

Changing the yogurt flavor to blueberry costs 1,500 won more

This time I ordered mine with the flavor swapped to blueberry yogurt. Changing the Greek yogurt flavor costs an extra ₩1,500. The basic plain Greek yogurt is great too, but since I like fruit-based flavors like blueberry, being able to customize it to my taste like this was a nice touch.

Is a Lazy Yogurt bowl a good autumn breakfast?

Now that the weather is getting cooler, there are days when a fruit-filled Greek yogurt bowl sounds better than a heavy dessert — this place is exactly right for an autumn dessert spot 🌟 The Greek in Hongkong I tried this time was refreshing with its fresh mango, fresh grapefruit, and sago pearl combination, and the Claire Single with orange, green grapes, granola, and honey was great for breakfast. Above all, it was delicious thanks to the thick Greek yogurt texture and rich yogurt flavor I love 😙
