What we ordered and the starters that came first
I placed my order using the catch-order screen set up at the table.

That day I chose the sashimi moriawase (assorted sashimi platter) to enjoy a variety of raw fish, plus a salmon sake-don topped with thick-cut salmon haha.
After ordering, the first thing to arrive was the appetizer — soft Japanese-style steamed egg custard, chawanmushi, along with warm miso soup. The custard went down as smooth as pudding, settling my stomach nicely with its moisture haha.
Oh, and cold karaage udon too! Really generous portion, right?!
Sashimi moriawase wrapped in gim and gamtae seaweed
Next came the sashimi moriawase, and the visual of the various in-season raw fish neatly arranged on the plate caught my eye.

The sashimi was fresh, and it came with a generous set of accompaniments perfect for wrapping — seaweed, gamtae (dried seaweed sheets), salmon roe, baek-kimchi (white kimchi), uni, and shiitake-wasabi soy-marinated slices haha.

Tuna-type sashimi wrapped lightly in crisp seaweed added a nutty richness — the combination was excellent.

Placing white fish on top of the gamtae, then adding salmon roe and the shiitake-wasabi soy-marinated slices, gave a texture that stood out — the gamtae's subtle aroma, the pop of the salmon roe, and the savory wasabi tang all blending with the fish haha.
Salmon sake-don and the mango pudding dessert
The salmon sake-don we also tried came with thick slices of salmon over rice — the fish's characteristic soft, fatty texture lingered with every bite, a memorable flavor haha.
Taking a big spoonful with the rice gave a real sense of satisfaction.

After finishing the meal on a good note, they brought out a sweet, refreshing mango pudding for dessert, letting me cleanse my palate nicely haha.
This is a Gwanghwamun Japanese restaurant that stands out for its seafood selection and ingredient pairings!
