Euljiro late-night snack takeout with tuna rice balls: Hyeonseoni-ne
Hyeonseoni-ne Cheonggye Instant Branch is a long-running tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) snack bar in Jung-gu, Seoul, less than 100m from Euljiro 1-ga Station. Ordering the 25,000 won Hyeonseoni Combo as takeout on a Friday night just before closing, the writer found gimbap sold out and swapped in tuna rice balls, and the tteokbokki, sundae (blood sausage), fried snacks and fish cake all tasted like more than filler. A satisfying takeout spread from Hyeonseoni-ne to share with a beer.
