Hapjeong Station café where you can watch beans roast: Central Site
In short
Central Site Hapjeong is a roastery specialty café in Mapo, Seoul, on the street between Hapjeong Station and Mecenatpolis, where you can watch the beans being roasted inside the shop. The writer had two specialty coffees made with Guatemala Entre and Colombia Finca Quebraditas beans plus a classic tiramisu (₩8,500); the coffees kept their aroma, acidity and nutty depth, and the tiramisu was moist. For great coffee and a good atmosphere near Hapjeong Station, Central Site Hapjeong is a strong pick.

This is my honest review of Central Site Hapjeong (센트럴사이트 합정점), a dessert spot with great atmosphere near Hapjeong Station. I was looking for a café with tasty desserts and coffee around the station and stopped in. It's a café that really takes coffee seriously, so I enjoyed everything so much. There's outdoor seating and the mood is lovely, so I'd recommend it to anyone who wants that open-air, outdoor-drinking feel too.

Is it a good terrace café in Hapjeong?
Central Site Hapjeong sits on the street between Hapjeong Station and Mecenatpolis, with floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor seats! You know that cozy European café feel? It's great for drinking coffee outside, so it works when you're looking for a Hapjeong terrace café too!

Gray, black and wood-tone interior
Inside, Central Site Hapjeong is done in gray, black and wood tones, and it felt clean and calm. The lighting is dim, which makes it look just right for a date.

It felt calm and the place was full of the smell of coffee, which I loved. *sniff sniff* I think a café should smell of coffee from the moment you walk in, and this was exactly that kind of café.

Can you watch the beans being roasted in the shop?
Yes! Central Site Hapjeong has a separate bean-roasting space inside the café. That's how seriously they take coffee.

You can even watch the beans being roasted, so it's fun to look at too! A café that roasts its own beans is just different when it comes to freshness! To get coffee like this in Hapjeong~ amazing.

Central Site Hapjeong has a wide range, from specialty coffee to regular machine coffee, and the variety of specialty beans is amazing! There are so many beans, from Gesha to Colombia, Ethiopia and Guatemala, plus cold brew and other drinks too.

Desserts include a fresh strawberry trifle, a fresh blueberry trifle and deep fudge, among others, and this day I ordered the classic tiramisu (₩8,500).

Pick your beans: specialty and drip coffee
See the beans?! Specialty coffee and drip coffee that anyone who knows coffee will go crazy for~ You can pick the beans you've been curious about. Gesha, Ethiopia, Guatemala and more, and if you brew coffee at home, it's a great place to buy beans too!
What I ordered: specialty coffee (Guatemala Entre beans, Colombia Finca Cuebradita beans), classic tiramisu

How do the Guatemala Entre and Colombia Finca Cuebradita coffees taste?
The specialty coffee at Central Site Hapjeong had aroma, acidity and nutty depth all coming through nicely. It came with square ice that barely melts so the coffee's flavor doesn't change, which made it even nicer to drink. Maybe it's just that the beans are really good... and especially!! the aroma is so good... (T_T)

How was the classic tiramisu?
The classic tiramisu (₩8,500) at Central Site Hapjeong was piled high with soft cream! The tiramisu was so good too: the sponge was nicely soaked with coffee and the cream was so soft, and it was delicious.

Can you feel that softness? It's a real dessert spot. If you're looking for a café with good atmosphere near Hapjeong Station, a great coffee place in Hapjeong, or a dessert place near Hapjeong Station, stop by Central Site Hapjeong.
