Dobana is open daily from 10:30 to 21:00 and has its own parking lot. There was plenty of room, so it was easy to visit by car.

Dobana is a large café, and the big open space caught my eye the moment I walked in .ᐟ The seating is really varied too, from tables for two to wide tables to seats where you can have some privacy.

There are so many seats that I could take my time choosing one, and it's a good place to quietly enjoy a cup of tea or chat comfortably with friends 𓂃♥

I visited Dobana on a weekend afternoon, so there wasn't a huge amount of bread left •• Even so, I had a surprisingly hard time deciding among the few salt breads that remained 🤤

As the name suggests, Dobana is a tea house where you can enjoy all kinds of tea ꕀ On the menu, the Oreum series, Dobana's own signature line, stood out. The flagship Hoji Oreum is a rich hojicha (roasted green tea) drink topped with hojicha ice cream (how am I supposed to resist...)

Can you smell the tea leaves before choosing at Dobana?

Yes, at Dobana you can smell several kinds of tea leaves yourself and pick the tea that suits you. I actually came to Dobana because I wanted to really enjoy tea, so this was even more fun 𓂃 Every scent is different, and choosing by smell is a real joy ◝✩

Dobana's private space, 'Dobanui Jeongwon' (Garden of Companions)

Dobana has a separate private space called 'Dobanui Jeongwon' (Garden of Companions), which you can use with a reservation ♡̴ I peeked inside, and it was bigger and tidier than I expected - !

Since it's separate from the regular seating, it seems great for a group traveling together on Jeju, or for a quiet gathering or meeting ꕤ˖⸝⸝₊˚

What does Dobana's Bijarim Forest Walk leaf tea taste like?

Dobana's leaf tea 'Forest Walk' (비자림 산책, Bijarim Sanchaek; ₩5,000) is green tea blended with bay leaf and peppermint. Out of all the leaf teas, I picked 'Forest Walk' ꩜ It comes in a teapot with a cute little hourglass beside it 𓂃 You let the tea steep slowly until the sand runs out, then pour it into your cup.

Because I'd picked it by smelling it, I was quietly excited even before the first sip 🆙

The mild green tea fragrance with bay leaf and peppermint added gave a fresh scent right from the start ✩‧₊˚ The cool, clean peppermint feel lingers, so it's light and easy to drink. Sipping it slowly in Dobana's calm atmosphere, I really felt like I was taking a walk through a Jeju forest, just like the name says 🍵🫖

How do Dobana's red bean butter salt bread and Hoji Oreum taste?

Dobana's red bean butter salt bread (₩4,200) .. what can I even say .. crispy outside, moist inside, and perfect with tea ⸌͂⸍̑⸜̑⸝͂

I also ordered Dobana's signature Hoji Oreum (₩6,800) ꕀ꙳ From the first sip the nutty, toasty flavor of hojicha came through strongly, and eaten together with the thick, dense hojicha ice cream on top, the soft sweetness on top of that just made me faint 🛌💭
