The weather's been so brutally hot lately that outdoor activities feel almost impossible, right? 🥵 I'd really been wanting to go camping recently, but when I looked into it, campsite prices have shot up and a lot of places now require two nights instead of the standard one-night trip... 😭 I just wanted a light one-night getaway, but between the cost and the thought of hauling gear in this heat, I was about to give up entirely.

Then I discovered the best thing to do indoors in Hongdae — basically an oasis! It's called 'TAGE Indoor Camping Hongdae Main Branch'! No packing required, just show up empty-handed and enjoy a 200% camping vibe in a cool, spotless, air-conditioned space. Here's my honest, fully satisfied review! (I received some items for free, but I also ordered plenty more and paid for it myself, so this is an honest review.)

TAGE Indoor Camping Hongdae Main Branch sits on the basement level of 79 Wausan-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, right in the heart of the commercial district near Hongdae's main gate. It's open every day from 11:00 to 23:00. As one of the most accessible things to do indoors in Hongdae, it's really easy to find!

The biggest perk is that this is the only place to do indoors in Hongdae where you can actually get food delivered or bring takeout!

How do the 9,500 won pork belly and 14,500 won raw pork belly set taste?

Given the table fee, TAGE Indoor Camping keeps pork belly at a nice ₩9,500 a serving. There's also a raw pork belly set brought in fresh that day for ₩14,500 (includes vegetables and all the sides).

The meat quality was really good, and grilled up golden it just melted in my mouth!

The fish cake stew (eomuk-tang) broth we added on was amazing too — genuinely felt like real outdoor camping.

Sitting right there grilling meat and enjoying hot fish cakes without moving a muscle was total healing. And on top of that, they had a huge selection of drinks and alcohol, and the owner was so, so kind! ❤️

The mood at TAGE: dates, group dinners and family gatherings

Honestly, I fell for the interior the moment I walked in — full of atmosphere. With the weather this hot, outdoor dates are basically unthinkable these days, but here, from the lighting to the cool air, it felt like relaxation the second I stepped in. You can lounge inside a tent and also grill meat right there — a totally different kind of indoor activity in Hongdae!

On the day we visited, there were friends, couples, families, and even some foreign visitors. Since the space is big and clean and totally unaffected by weather, I thought it would go over really well for a company workshop or team dinner. I'd definitely recommend it as a spot for group gatherings or an indoor outing.

Definitely a hot spot that people of all ages would enjoy.

Beyond the food, there's plenty to do with games and karaoke too — we totally lost track of time! No wonder this place is such a popular thing to do indoors in Hongdae these days.
