Curry tofu katsu dinner after a dress tour, Gangnam: Cheongdam Kkatsu
In short
Cheongdam Kkatsu Gangnam-gu Office Station Branch is a handmade tonkatsu (pork cutlet) restaurant on the first floor of SK Hub Blue, outside Exit 2 of Gangnam-gu Office Station in Gangnam, Seoul. After a Cheongdam dress tour, a couple had dinner there: a mozzarella cheese katsu (13,000 won), large and generously filled with cheese, and a curry seafood soft tofu katsu set (17,000 won), which pairs a twice-aged pork loin cutlet with spicy curry sundubu (soft tofu stew). Both dishes were satisfying. With an underground passage from the subway and a self-serve bar with unlimited rice, Cheongdam Kkatsu suits anyone looking for a filling katsu meal at Gangnam-gu Office Station.

Cheongdam Kkatsu near Gangnam-gu Office Station after a dress tour
Cheongdam Kkatsu Gangnam-gu Office Station Branch (청담까츠 강남구청역점) is a handmade tonkatsu (pork cutlet) place on the first floor of SK Herb Blue, right in front of Exit 2 of Gangnam-gu Office Station. My boyfriend and I had just finished a dress tour in Cheongdam and were looking for a simple dinner nearby, so we headed to Cheongdam Kkatsu, known for crispy-outside, juicy-inside handmade katsu.

Getting to Cheongdam Kkatsu: it connects straight to the subway
Cheongdam Kkatsu is on the first floor of the SK Herb Blue building, which you see as soon as you come out of Exit 2 of Gangnam-gu Office Station.

It's connected to the underground passage of Gangnam-gu Office Station, so it's easy to reach by subway. I especially liked that on snowy or rainy days you can get there without going outside.
The restroom is right in front of the restaurant, so there's no wandering around looking for it.

Seating at Cheongdam Kkatsu: tables for 2 and 4, plus a room for 8
The inside was neatly kept, with tables for two and four. It also looked fine for dining solo near Gangnam-gu Office Station.
One side of the restaurant has a private room that fits about 8 people. If your group wants a bit more privacy, you can reserve it through Naver.

Self-bar and unlimited rice
At the self-bar you can grab as much extra danmuji (pickled yellow radish), kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), salt and wasabi as you like. There were also hair ties, dental floss and aprons, and I loved that the rice cooker offers unlimited rice refills.

Cheongdam Kkatsu menu and prices
The menu runs from tonkatsu to soba, udon, rice bowls and set menus, so even a bigger group can each pick what they like.

If you join the Naver receipt review event, they serve crispy fried shrimp as a bonus, so check the event before you visit.

Mozzarella cheese katsu: one piece is huge
The mozzarella cheese katsu (₩13,000) comes with rice, miso soup and a cabbage salad, with danmuji and kkakdugi as side dishes, making it a hearty full meal.
My first thought when it arrived was, "Wow, one piece is huge!" It's packed with generous mozzarella and the portion is big, so even one piece would fill you up.

The look of it alone was appetizing: a crispy cutlet topped with rich cheese 🤤 One bite and the cheese stretched out, so it passes!

Dipping the cheese katsu in the sweet and salty sauce added even more flavor. With the crispy coating and soft, rich cheese, I think cheese lovers will enjoy it.

The cabbage salad had a crunchy texture with a kiwi dressing that tasted fresh. I scooped up plenty of cabbage and ate it along with the katsu.

What does the curry seafood soft tofu katsu set taste like?
My boyfriend ordered the curry seafood soft tofu katsu set (₩17,000), a set with an unusual combination: crispy katsu together with soft curry.

The curry seafood soft tofu had plenty of soft tofu in a thick curry base. You get the curry's flavor along with some spiciness, which went well with the katsu, which can feel greasy.

Maybe because the katsu is made from twice-aged sirloin, it was crispy outside and moist inside. It was mild yet full of savory juices, and even though I was full, I kept going back for more 😆
My boyfriend enjoyed it so much he said he'd come every week if it were near his office! If you're looking for a good spot near Gangnam-gu Office Station, I recommend giving it a try.
