Dangsan bossam restaurant with a small set too big for two: Cheongun
In short
Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch is a bossam (boiled pork wrap) restaurant near Dangsan Station Exit 13 in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, with outdoor tables for patio drinking. The writer came for the patio but, on a cold day, ate indoors instead: a small pork belly bossam set (₩35,000) with free makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles) and a ₩3,000 tuna mayo rice ball, more than two people could finish. Tender pork boiled fresh every morning and staff who reheat the meat make Cheongun Bossam a great-value bossam spot near Dangsan Station.

Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch: the day I went for patio dining
Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch is known near Dangsan Station as both a great bossam spot and a great place for patio dining (yajang, outdoor drinking and eating). The weather has been perfect for sitting outside lately, so before it gets colder I've been making the rounds of patio spots, and I heard Cheongun Bossam in Dangsan was a bossam place AND a patio place, so I went right away. It's close to Dangsan Station.

Is Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch good for a company dinner?
The restaurant is fairly big and has group seating, so I think it would work well for a company dinner. Best of all, the tables are spaced far apart, which I loved.

There are tables outside too, so in weather like this, eating on the patio is the best. Highly recommended if you're looking for a patio spot near Dangsan Station! (But of course this was a super cold day, so no patio for us.)

Cheongun Bossam pork belly bossam set prices and the free side
The pork belly bossam set at Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch is ₩35,000 for small, ₩43,000 for medium and ₩50,000 for large, and with a set you can pick one of clam kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup), spicy kalguksu or tray makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles). I mean, order a bossam set and you get makguksu for free. Isn't that the best value ever...
There's also a lunch special menu, so it would be good for office workers nearby at lunchtime too. The menu is varied, with kalguksu, jjukkumi (baby octopus) and more.

Basic side dishes include bean sprouts, onions and so on.

The food came out super fast. Kyaaa it looks so good 🤍

How big is the small pork belly bossam for two?
Even though it's the small size, the pork belly bossam looked like a lot for two people. The meat is stacked in two layers, so there's really a lot. Just looking at it makes me crave a draft beer,,

They say Cheongun Bossam boils the bossam fresh every morning. Maybe that's why the meat was super tender with zero gamey smell. The meat was so good! My boyfriend said it was the best bossam he's ever had. For just +₩6,000 you can also switch to gaburisal (pork jowl).

Free side: tray makguksu
We chose makguksu as our free side. The tanginess of the noodles goes so well with bossam ♥️ Even though it's free, the portion was huge, like something you'd pay for. Eating only meat can get greasy, but a bite of this tangy makguksu in between wipes out the richness completely.

Tuna mayo rice ball, ₩3,000
We also ordered a tuna mayo rice ball, and at ₩3,000 I think it's good value. Other places charge ₩4,000 for rice balls these days,,

Does Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch reheat cold meat?
At Cheongun Bossam Dangsan Branch, they told us to say so anytime the meat cools down and they'd warm it up again! It pairs amazingly with the radish salad (mu-saengchae), and the meat melts in your mouth.
At company dinners or when you get together with friends, the meat often goes cold because you're busy chatting, so I loved that the owner thoughtfully offers to reheat it.

Napa cabbage and lettuce wraps, and the table we couldn't finish
We wrapped the pork belly bossam in napa cabbage hearts and lettuce, and the wrap vegetables were super fresh, so good. Maybe because the place was full of people, the turnover seems high, so the food quality felt good?
With bossam + rice ball + makguksu, even two of us got so full that we couldn't finish it all... Seriously amazing value and a huge portion. Eating great food in the cool breeze made it such a happy day.
I hear they also serve oyster bossam in winter, so I plan to come back when winter arrives. The perfect combo of patio vibes and tender bossam: if you're looking for a bossam restaurant or patio spot near Dangsan Station, or a place for a company dinner or year-end gathering, I totally recommend Cheongun Bossam ♥️
