Seonyudo Station burger: whole fried shiitake Mushroom Burger, BAS
In short
BAS Burger Seonyudo is a handmade burger restaurant right outside Exit 4 of Seonyudo Station in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. Before a walk in Seonyudo Park, the writer ordered the Double BAS Burger set (15,800 won) and the Mushroom Burger set (15,600 won), along with unlimited potato chips and free self-serve sauces. BAS Burger Seonyudo stands out for a Mushroom Burger with a whole fried shiitake that won over even a mushroom skeptic, plus a Double BAS Burger topped with barbecue sauce.

I was craving a handmade burger before heading to Seonyudo Park, so I stopped by BAS Burger Seonyudo ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡ I found it by chance, and it turned out to be a famous spot.

BAS Burger Seonyudo: location, hours and parking
BAS Burger Seonyudo (바스버거 선유도점) is at 118-1 Yangpyeong-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, right outside Exit 4 of Seonyudo Station. It is open daily from 10:30 to 21:30. You can't park in the building, so you'll need a nearby public car park.
Inside BAS Burger Seonyudo and eating solo

The restaurant is neither big nor small, with tables for two and for four. Plenty of people were eating alone, too. If you're looking for a solo meal or a spot for a beer on your own near Seonyudo Station, BAS Burger seems like a good pick.
BAS Burger menu and review event
Here's the burger menu at BAS Burger Seonyudo.

There's a separate side menu too, and at the time of writing they were giving one mozzarella cheese bar for a Naver receipt review.
What's free at BAS Burger: chips, sauces and samples

Unlimited potato chips
The potato chips at BAS Burger Seonyudo are unlimited. Ugh, if I weren't heading to Seonyudo Park, I'd be munching chips and downing a ton of beer... what a shame. There's even a warmer above the chips that keeps them hot. They're free, but they didn't hand over low-quality stuff, and I loved that kind of careful attention.

Free self-serve sauces
The sauces are free: barbecue, roe mayo (myeongran mayo), honey mustard and ranch. Other burger places always charge extra for sauce, but BAS Burger gives it away. And you don't have to ask a staff member; you can just grab what you like, so there's no awkwardness. Good good.
Free drink and beer samples
Apparently you can also get free samples of drinks and beer. Just ask the staff!
Ordering the Double BAS Burger set (₩15,800) and Mushroom Burger set (₩15,600)
This day at BAS Burger Seonyudo, we ordered the Double BAS Burger set (₩15,800) and the Mushroom Burger set (₩15,600).

The burgers came out super fast 🍔♥️ and they looked big and thick at first glance.

BAS Burger Mushroom Burger: good even if you hate mushrooms?
The Mushroom Burger at BAS Burger is made with a whole fried shiitake mushroom, they say. This is the one my boyfriend ordered, and the mushroom is so huge it's practically bursting out.

I stole a bite and it was seriously crazy good. Crispy outside, juicy inside, the textbook example..🍄🟫 I normally don't like mushrooms, but they fried it so well that I wanted to eat the whole thing myself..haha.. The crunchy batter, the chewy mushroom texture and the mushroom juice all came together so deliciously. If you like mushrooms, I recommend the Mushroom Burger.

The signature Double BAS Burger with barbecue sauce
What I ordered was the Double BAS Burger. With two patties, it feels really hefty. And the vegetables looked really fresh.

From the first bite the beef juice was no joke, and the handmade patty was super tender and moist. I could see why it's BAS Burger's signature, popular item. Even with two patties there was nothing greasy, just delicious.

At the end I drizzled barbecue sauce over the burger. There are lots of sauces, so it'd be nice to sprinkle whichever you like on your burger. I recommend the Double BAS plus barbecue combo! Also, handmade burgers are usually small with skimpy fillings and don't fill you up, but BAS Burger's are big and I was seriously full. My boyfriend said he was stuffed too.

Set fries portion and what I'd change
The fries in the BAS Burger set were piping hot and crispy, as if freshly fried. I wish I'd swapped one for onion rings! They were the regular size, but there were so many fries that we couldn't finish them.
Who BAS Burger Seonyudo is for
I was so happy to have a good handmade burger after a while. I'm on a diet, but if it's delicious it's zero calories. It'd also be fine to take out before going to Seonyudo Park, and good for eating or drinking solo. If you're looking for a truly great handmade burger place in Dangsan or Seonyudo, I recommend BAS Burger. That's the end of my honest review!
