I heard a place opened on Yeongjong Island in Incheon where you can eat eel, beef, and pork all at once — and all you can eat, too — so I rushed over for lunch. I ate so much that I was still full by nighttime 🙃 Here's my review after happily eating eel and beef! (Couldn't attempt the pork due to the fullness issue...)
Where is Jangsodam Yeongjong Direct Store?
Jangsodam Yeongjong Direct Store is located in Yeongjong Sky City. It just opened recently, so it's a fresh, brand-new spot. There are tons of apartment complexes nearby, so it seems like a great place to bring the whole family for a meal out.
Parking at Jangsodam
You can use the basement parking lot in the Jangsodam building. After your meal, apply the parking coupon on the tablet next to the counter before you leave, and they support 3 hours!
1. The building and entrance
I arrived at Jangsodam Yeongjong Direct Store. The sign says eel at ₩32,900/kg, plus all-you-can-eat eel, beef, and pork. Let's go inside, shall we?
Get off the elevator on the 2nd floor and you'll see it right away. They said they serve Japonica eel when you order the a la carte eel. There's a display of the health benefits of eel, beef, and pork — a perfect spot to fully recharge your protein, haha.
Since it's a newly opened place, the entrance was very clean. Also, the reason we visited today is that it's a pet-friendly establishment — you can bring your dog in a cage or dog stroller.
2. Inside the restaurant and what's on the self-bar
The interior had great natural light coming through the windows, giving it a bright, clean feel.
And right in front of the entrance is the self-bar. There were all kinds of snacks and dishes prepared, plus separate self-bars for pork cuts and wrap vegetables. You can really eat so many different foods at once!

The self-bar has all sorts of sauces and side dishes.

Tofu kimchi, tteokbokki (stir-fried rice cakes), sundae (Korean blood sausage), pasta, fried rice, plus sodas and plum extract drinks — the variety is really something.

It's not just plain samgyeopsal (pork belly) or pork neck for the pork either. There's galbi, tteok-galbi, sausage, pork belly, pork skin, and even chicken! On top of that, you can eat all-you-can-eat wrap vegetables too — lettuce, perilla leaves, cabbage, and even mushrooms 👍
Plus, there's a Han River ramyeon machine and an ice cream machine for dessert 🍦
3. Menu and set prices
Jangsodam's main item is freshwater eel, priced at ₩32,900 per kilogram, and once you pay that plus the per-person table charge, you can freely use the self-bar.
As for the all-you-can-eat sets, there are A, B, C, and D, and we ordered Set A. Because I wanted to eat both eel and beef 💗
- ⭐⭐Set A: ₩39,000 (eel + beef + yukhoe)
- ⭐Set B: ₩34,000 (eel + sirloin + pork)
- Set C: ₩32,000 (beef + yukhoe + pork)
- Set D: ₩21,000 (pork + dakgalbi)

Also, Jangsodam gives you 120 minutes for eel/beef and 100 minutes for pork. Also, since different types of meat require different grills, please request 'grill change' in the tablet's request section!
4. The meat platter and side dishes

After ordering, a serving robot brought out the food.

The main meats came out along with the sauces.
For the meats, we got yukhoe (beef tartare), chuck short ribs, galbisal, chimasal (skirt steak), sirloin, and (under the chuck short ribs) usamgyeop (thinly sliced beef brisket) as well.
The eel looked thick and plump, and they first served us a whole prepped eel.
And for side dishes, they bring out no fewer than two trays that hold six dishes each, and you can grab any extra side dishes you want from the self-bar!
5. How everything tasted
Grilled eel
Let's start by grilling the eel first. They put two plump chunks of eel on the grill.
Can you see the thickness of the eel? It has good meat on it, so it looks really appetizing. Once it's on the fire, sprinkle salt evenly.
Cook the skin side first, and once it's cooked enough, flip it over and cook the flesh side.
Once it looks done enough, cut it into bite-sized pieces. Line up the cut eel neatly and keep cooking it further.
This requires patience 🫥 The eel is slowly turning a delicious golden brown. Once the flesh firms up, it's ready to eat. I'm hungry, so let's take a bite right away.
The eel had good thickness and was appropriately fatty, so it tasted savory and delicious even plain.
It's tasty plain, but eel tastes different again with sauce, so dip it however suits your taste. There's teriyaki sauce and spicy sauce, and both were delicious in different ways, so I kept dipping it over and over.
But eel really is best with ginger. I especially love the combo of perilla leaf pickle + ginger + teriyaki sauce! Eating like this, the grilled eel naturally runs out, and naturally you end up requesting an eel refill on the tablet...
Beef: yukhoe (raw beef tartare)
The yukhoe wasn't overly sweet — it had a savory oil aroma with a nice sweet-and-salty balance. It was great as an appetizer before the eel finished grilling. If you want more of this too, just request a refill!
Beef: skirt steak and galbisal (rib finger)

Next, we grilled the chimasal (skirt steak) and galbisal.
Being able to eat beef while eating eel — who thought of this genius idea? The owner is a genius, genius 👍

Once the meat is nicely browned, flip it diligently. (There's a lot of smoke, so make sure the vent above is positioned correctly.)
Here's the well-cooked galbisal. The first bite of beef has to be with salt. The galbisal had a rich meaty flavor and a good chewy texture. Anyone who likes a chewier texture in meat would prefer this.

Then I ate the chimasal, and it was truly delicious. It came out thin, so it cooked quickly and was tender, so I kept eating more and more. Especially delicious with pickled chili peppers or the onion soy sauce 💗 We ended up ordering skirt steak two more times 🙄
Beef: sirloin and chuck short rib
Next, we grilled the chuck short rib and sirloin. They came in single large chunks, and the size was huge.
The fat and lean meat were mixed in just the right proportion, making it look appetizing. The meat was thin, so it browned quickly.
When I tried a piece of the well-cooked sirloin, it had a clean, savory, meaty flavor that wasn't too rich. The more you chewed, the more savory it tasted. The chuck short rib had a chewy yet springy texture.
The sirloin was better with onion soy sauce or scallion kimchi rather than plain. There were so many side dishes to pair it with that it was fun to eat, and it tasted good, so we finished it quickly.
Beef: usamgyeop (thin-sliced brisket)
Next up is usamgyeop (thinly sliced beef brisket). It's so thin that it started giving off smoke and melting away as soon as it hit the grill.
I flipped it carefully so it wouldn't burn, and it was fully cooked in no time. Now let's take a bite.
Here's the usamgyeop with a nice smoky char. Between the thin slices of meat, savory fat melts away smoothly. The texture is soft and tender to chew.

Usamgyeop tastes even more savory eaten with scallion salad or onion soy sauce, and the crunch of the vegetables makes it fun to eat — the flavor kept unfolding the more I chewed.
6. Final verdict: who should eat at Jangsodam?
I got to eat eel and beef together at Jangsodam. I was so full that I couldn't even manage to try the pork or chicken separately. That's how generous the portions are, and with unlimited access to the self-bar too, it seems like the perfect spot for people with a big appetite. We ordered extra eel and skirt steak, and both the eel and beef were fresh with juices intact, giving us an addictively satisfying, filling protein fix. If you're heading out to Yeongjong Island or live nearby, how about a family meal or date at Jangsodam Yeongjong Direct Store?
