Sonoki Ramen menu: what should you order?
Sonoki Ramen Konkuk Univ. main branch has its signature Sonoki ramen, plus miso ramen, mazemen (brothless mixed noodles), a mazemen rice bowl and more. With brothy ramen, miso-based ramen, noodles without broth and a rice dish, it's easy to pick what suits you.
There's always a dilemma at a ramen shop, right? The signature ramen, the miso-based one, or take on the brothless noodles! Choosing is half the fun.

This was my first time at Sonoki Ramen. Besides the signature Sonoki ramen, there were miso ramen, mazemen, a mazemen rice bowl and several other items.

The signature Sonoki ramen and miso ramen
First, Sonoki ramen is the signature dish that carries the shop's name. If you like ramen topped with chashu, a soft-boiled egg, scallions and more, I think anyone will enjoy it.
If you prefer a nutty, savory flavor, I recommend the miso ramen. I could taste the rich, toasty flavor typical of Japanese miso.

Brothless mazemen, and the mazemen rice bowl when you want rice
If you're craving noodles without broth, mazemen is great too. You mix the noodles, toppings and sauce together, so it has a different charm from regular brothy ramen.
If you'd rather have rice, check out the mazemen rice bowl. It's a good pick on days when you want rice more than noodles.
Sonoki Ramen sides and oolong tea
Sides at Sonoki Ramen Konkuk Univ. main branch include gyoza (dumplings), chicken karaage (Japanese fried chicken) and fried octopus, and you can add chashu and tamago (seasoned egg) separately. The oolong tea on the drink menu works like a dessert after ramen, and I really want to recommend it.
If the main dish alone feels a little short, don't miss the sides!

Sides that go well with ramen included gyoza, chicken karaage and fried octopus. Crispy dishes and ramen turn out to be a surprisingly good match.

If you go with a friend, it would be fun to pick different dishes and share. One of you gets brothy ramen, the other gets mazemen, and you each try a different flavor.
Oh, right. They also sell oolong tea! Please, please try it. It's clean and refreshing, and I totally recommend it as a dessert after ramen.

This is the best of the sides: chashu and tamago. The savory depth of flavor was great!
