Looking for a well-equipped PC bang in Nowon and finding Core PC Bang
I came to Core PC Bang (코어PC CAFE), a Nowon PC bang that's great for dates. There are PC bangs all over Nowon, right? But it's hard to find one that's clean and well kept. I searched like crazy for a place with good PC specs and food that actually comes out well, and this is where I ended up.

Core PC Bang review event
When I visited, Core PC Bang was running an event: write a Naver MY Place receipt review and get 2 hours plus a drink, or write a photo review and get a 1-hour free coupon. Just ask the staff for your receipt, and I was told the 2 hours + drink coupon can be used right away. It's running now, so give it a try.
There's a lotto shop called Lotto Myeongdangjip near Core PC Bang, so I come to this neighborhood once in a while, but I had no idea such a nice PC bang was here. Next time I come to buy lotto tickets, I'll be dropping by.

How are Core PC Bang's specs and rates?
Since its renewal, Core PC Bang's PCs are 14400 / 5060 / 32G, with BenQ 240hz and LG gaming 240hz monitors. Member rates are ₩1,000 for 1 hr 20 min, up to ₩10,000 for 15 hours.
I came because I heard the renewal made it even better. They say they added the first 6–8 person group seats in Nowon-gu, plus 2-person couple seats and dual monitors. It really seems like a great environment for gaming. Printing works in black-and-white and color from every seat, and Netflix, Disney, TVING, Watcha, YouTube and more are free to use.
And that's not all. The prices at Core PC Bang are so kind too!!
- ₩1,000 = 1 hr 20 min
- ₩2,000 = 2 hr 40 min
- ₩3,000 = 4 hours
- ₩5,000 = 7 hours
- ₩10,000 = 15 hours
The prices are well set up, too. With specs this good and prices this good, there's no reason not to come.

Core PC Bang food and drink menu
The menu at Core PC Bang is varied, from meals like rice bowls (deopbap) to skewer snacks and smoothies. You can snack, or have a proper meal, so everything is covered in one spot.
- Food: chicken mayo rice bowl, tuna kimchi rice bowl, sausage-and-vegetable stir-fry (sso-ya) rice bowl, Andong braised chicken rice bowl, cheese ball katsu, sotteok sotteok skewers (sausage and rice cake), boneless chicken skewers and more
- Drinks: peach plum smoothie, plain yogurt smoothie, strawberry yogurt smoothie, mango yogurt smoothie, mango banana smoothie and more
I think this might be the perfect spot for a date. There were lots of staff, and they were all kind, and quick with their hands and their feet.

Good to know before using Core PC Bang
- Bank transfer works too
- You must bring ID after 10 pm
- Printing is ₩500–1,000, I was told
- There's a water purifier, but you need to bring your own cup
You can see an open kitchen behind the counter, and it looked like it's kept clean.

Rice bowl, skewers and frappé plus 4 hours of PC for ₩20,000
What I ordered at Core PC Bang was a mentaiko (pollock roe) chicken mayo rice bowl (fried egg included), sotteok sotteok rice cake skewers, and a cookies & cream frappé. A meal, a snack and a drink, and all of it comes to ₩20,000 including 4 hours of computer use.
These days even one meal can cost over ₩10,000, right? Meal, snack, drink and play all together, this place is great value.

The mentaiko chicken mayo rice bowl and sotteok sotteok
The mentaiko mayo chicken rice bowl came with an egg by default, and it was just right as a meal. The seasoning was nicely balanced and it tasted good. Having only one thing feels a bit sad, right? So I ordered sotteok sotteok as a snack too. That was tasty as well and I polished it off in no time. If I weren't so full I'd have ordered another, but the portions were big and I was stuffed.

Cookies & cream frappé and 1-liter drinks
This is the cookies & cream frappé. See how big it is? Big and tasty. I got confused about whether this was a café or a PC bang. Core PC Bang also sells drinks in 1-liter bottles. Two people could share one, and even drinking a whole liter alone seems like good value.

Core PC Bang seating and atmosphere: couple seats, rooms and solo seats
Core PC Bang has lots of seats, so plenty of people can use it at once. Even so, it isn't noisy; it seemed fairly quiet. When you sit down, wet wipes are set out by default, so you can wipe the desk and get comfortable, which I liked.

Core PC Bang also has two separate rooms, which seem good for small groups. There are couple seats and solo seats too, so you can choose whatever suits the situation. I'd seen couple seats and team rooms, but I'd never seen solo seats set apart like this. It feels like a place with a great setup all around, and I want to come often.
