Finding Central Site Yeonnam after dinner in Hongdae

I'd had dinner in Hongdae and was wondering where to go for coffee, so I wandered toward Yeonnam-dong, and that's how I stumbled onto Central Site Yeonnam. In Korean we call this a "jamanchu" (a chance discovery, short for "spontaneous meeting"). I've been hanging around Hongdae a lot lately, and that day, looking for somewhere to go after the meal, I found this place! Okay, let's start the review, go go!

Where is Central Site Yeonnam, and what are its hours?

Central Site Yeonnam is at 29-1 Yeonhui-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul, and it's open every day from 08:00 to 22:00. It sits between Yeonnam-dong and Hongdae, so it's super easy to get to. And I love that it opens at 8! I think you could even grab a coffee on your way to work~

See why I walked in on a whim? The poster alone was tempting me. So many delicious-looking drinks, I can't handle it T_T!

A big café that's hard to find in Hongdae: the interior and bean-smelling corner

This is what the inside of Central Site Yeonnam looks like. There's a 2nd floor, and a 3rd floor too. It's not easy to find a big café in Hongdae, and here it is in a spot like this... I love it 🙌

Central Site Yeonnam has a really wide range of beans, and there's even a spot set up where you can smell them. Give them a sniff while you're waiting in the ordering line! Lately I've been into acidic ones, you know?

Window seats that are probably popular

Omg, a window view like this... isn't it amazing? I bet these seats are insanely popular on weekends and at peak hours haha

Desserts at Central Site Yeonnam: tiramisu and ₩2,000 cookies

Central Site Yeonnam isn't only famous for coffee, the desserts are famous too!! Wow... the strawberry one looks yummy, the Lotus one looks yummy T_T But our mission was just one thing: the tiramisu~

Oh, I thought this cookie was a display model, but it's actually for sale! haha The chocolate cookie looks good too. At ₩2,000, that's great value!

Brewing hand drip menu and prices

The names are so long, right? haha We listened to the explanations and chose the ones we liked haha

Iced drip with one big ice cube

Ta-da, our order is here~ Doesn't the coffee look just like whiskey? haha I love the one big ice cube sitting right there! It keeps the drink cold for a long, long time haha

Tiramisu made with an authentic Italian recipe

The tiramisu at Central Site Yeonnam is apparently made with an authentic Italian recipe. It's the steady bestseller, so that's why I ordered it! The Lotus tiramisu is supposedly famous too, so I'll try that next time haha

Choosing coffee easily with the barista's guidance

Wow, they also gave us a little picture to go with the coffee? It ticks all three boxes: high quality, rarity and character. The barista at Central Site Yeonnam helped guide us so we could pick coffee that suited our tastes and preferences, so choosing was easy haha

My thoughts after visiting Central Site Yeonnam

💛💛💛 I felt that Central Site Yeonnam is a place with a lot of love for coffee. The beans are really varied, and I thought it was so cool how confidently the barista explained everything! They put just as much care into desserts as coffee, so the desserts are varied too, and nothing felt lacking. Above all, I was so happy to find a comfortable, relaxed place in crowded, noisy Hongdae!! 💛💛💛
